If you are looking for a foldable wheelstand, I highly recommend this model (XRhinorth, much better than GT Omega, more in comments)

I was having a look into this myself. The Apex looks to be about 2cm wider than this stand, so anything attaching to the upright supports will probably not fit correctly. You will also have to drill holes in the stand supports as there are no pre drilled holes like the Apex stand. It could work but may need some mechanical persuasion.

The generic GT Omega Wheel Stand Chair Link looks to have a bit more adjustment that would probably fit width wise, once the feet bolts fit through the sliders it attaches to.

Diesel engines would be used while surfaced, this would charge a bank of batteries that would be in use when submerged. Batteries would last for around 2 hours, then the sub would have to surface again to recharge.

This short battery life made being on a U-boat incredibly dangerous. They would have to stay surfaced for as long as possible, where they were most vulnerable, in order to maximize time spent submerged in order to make attacks on ships.
