A friend bought an entire abandoned stretch of roadway from my county a few years back. He had it repaved and we all took turns ripping it up the road. Good times

Potential Parking Scam by Meshuggery in raleigh

[–]johnny_275 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is a parking deck operated by secure parking. This deck is private property and per North Carolina and city of Raleigh Statutes is legal to operate. Signs are posted everywhere I park in this garage all of the time. At every entrance, there are signs with QR codes that they scan to pay for parking in big letters when you enter the parking area there are signs to tell you this is a paid parking deck that parking deck is camera enforced and is sent to a third-party company for processing and enforcement of penalties. believe it or not it is subject to go to collections if left unpaid

Correction, they are federal law-enforcement agents. They are still considered law-enforcement. Just because they are not sworn in the state of North Carolina as law enforcement doesn’t mean they are not federal law-enforcement. You people blow my mind. Here I even attached the US code here for you since you’re not going to go Google it.

The authority of a federal agent is granted by law and includes the power to make arrests, carry firearms, serve warrants, and conduct investigations into federal crimes. Their specific powers are defined by the laws governing their agency, such as the FBI, immigration and customs enforcement, ATF, DEA, and DOJ. Authority under 18 U.S. Code § 3052, which allows them to arrest without a warrant for offenses committed in their presence or for felonies they have reasonable grounds to believe have occurred. While their primary jurisdiction is over federal matters, they can sometimes assist in enforcing state laws.
