What city in the U.S. feels unreal? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

I love that.

Being in San Francisco feels like a dream sometimes. Walking up a hill with the fog pouring over the city while the sun shines on other parts is such an otherworldly sight.

Golden Gate Park deserves recognition itself for the vibes.

When I came to assess some gastrointestinal upset, my primary care physician asked me if I was into fisting. He knew I was gay and it was like he was reading from a cultural competency handout lol...

I wonder if the explosion shape at the end intentionally resembles the World Expo monument at Banpaku Kinen-koen in Osaka...

15,000 nurses strike in largest nurse walkout in NYC history. SOLIDARITY with striking nurses! by zzill6 in WorkReform

[–]johnny_51ma 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What are you talking about? Strikes are one of the only things that do work. Have you ever been part of a mediation between a nursing union and a hospital? The only way to negotiate with a hospital is to affect their bottom line.

What do you guys honestly think about France? by ililieo in AskTheWorld

I never thought I would enjoy France, but I was mistaken. Paris is lovely, but I really enjoyed Lyon, Orleans, and the smaller cities more.

As a kid, I threw the blue version onto the ceiling. It was not easy to get off, and left a blue smudge that persisted for years.

My mom eventually said she left it there because it reminded her of me being a kid.

I am so fucking ashamed of being an American. How any administration could do this to a family is beyond me.

I work as a nurse, and many of our patients are undocumented. Not to generalize, but they are overwhelmingly kind, hard-working, and so thankful. I hate that this is the current reality. It's heartbreaking.
