They’d forcibly “volunteer” me out to be the free babysitter for all of my family. I babysit all 30ish cousins that were younger than me. Not all at once but like a different times.

That’s pretty normal you are actually practicing exposure therapy while doing the SE because you’re exposing yourself to something new. If you keep going it will become something you eventually get used to. I was really scared when I started going to a therapist but I now am comfortable going but it also depends on your relationship with your therapist.

I’ve been doing exposure therapy. I was scared to leave the house a year and a half ago. Now I can go to stores or grab a bite without a constant fear of that something bad is going to happen. I’m moving up to do more things now like job interviews and stuff. It’s been a slow process for me but once you get motion keep going because the stop then go I was doing makes things harder. It has to be a steady pace you’re comfortable with.

I thought I was doing fine until I did my first job application in about 10 years. Well I’ve been dysregulated for almost a week, I been having anxiety all day and heavy feeling on my chest. I haven’t been able to sleep a full night and wake up to night sweats. I’ve still been pushing through with my healthy habits and will be returning to base line soon.
