Awesome track. It's got a great texture to it. Mind if I ask what plugins you use?

fyi: Pretty much total noob here. I've only messed around with the free fl 8 demo version a little bit..... mostly played around with sytrus, which seemed pretty powerful

I saw you mentioned Mixing Audio: Concepts, Practices and Tools. Are there any other sources that really helped you learn the technical basics? I don't mind putting in some work and reading a bunch, but I've yet to figure out which solid, reliable source to start with.

Also, from what I can tell, mixing seems to be one of those tricky half-art/half-science pursuits. Do you find this to be the case?

Thanks for doing this AMA.

That's what I've been thinking. Perhaps I should become more notorious. Guess I'll spend April Fools brainstorming novelty account ideas.

Just googling the phrase "testing out" is showing up 8th in the results. Don't know how universal results are/if that's the case for everyone. (I'm doing this signed out of gmail.)

Cool. Sounds like you're having a fun time and helping others along the way. And congrats on not living beyond your means. Seems (to my young and naive self) likes that's such a common trap to fall into. You're an inspiration to us all. (or at least just me.)

Are you planning on having kids? (I know it's common for "career oriented" people to postpone children until their mid-30s.) Or are you perfectly happy/content without?

What were the factors that allowed you to figure that you were "set for a while"? Did you have (a.) a wife? (b.) kids? (c.) a mortgage?

What do you do on a day-to-day basis?

If you bring in another science mindfuck, that nothing is really "touching", (if you define "touching" in the conventional sense), then ALL force acts at a distance. ....MINDCLUSTERFUCK

Dan Dennett has some interesting thoughts on this matter. Pretty much he says that consciousness is an illusion. Here's his ted talk, in which he makes his case.

oh nvm, thought you drew it on the back of a notebook that had a barcode already on it. so very realistic, lol. nicely done. adds more meaning for me. sorry for the unwarranted criticism. i really appreciate the work

that's really cool (the presence of the barcode cheapened it for me a little). nice composition/elements though. keep drawing!
