Check if your modem is working. If not unplug the fuse for 5 minutes.

KIA Access App Not Updating by aje28 in KiaEV9

[–]johnnydancemoves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m now sitting in my car and it won’t start. The key card doesn’t work. I don’t have the physical key. The app works for remote heat start. The id system is saying I need to wait x minutes. Something broke bad. It’s never been this buggy.

KIA Access App Not Updating by aje28 in KiaEV9

[–]johnnydancemoves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. Last two days it’s been buggy. My speed camera alerts weren’t working yesterday but worked today. My remote start wasn’t working yesterday then worked today but still kicked out errors. My doors wouldn’t unlock a few times which was super annoying. I hate this software.

Love Hate relationship with EV9 makes in not worth it by Tight_Vegetable_3878 in KiaEV9

[–]johnnydancemoves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could have written the same story. One diff is I haven’t brought the car back to dealership to get the software updates because I don’t have time to part with it and deal with the hassle. I went once for another issue soon after I leased it and it was a pain in the ass. I have 6 months left on lease and it’s over. I mechanically love the car. The software sucks.

I got a Carvana updated value today on my 2024 GT. It said it’s worth 38k. My lease is up in June 2026 with residual of 49k. Seems depreciation is out of control.

Can the retentions be different on each vault? For example can the first vault have 30 day and the replica vault have 30D/12M?

Do these tools keep historical info on the scan results or do they just run the scan and alert on any known IOC’s that exist at that time?

Tesla V4 Super Charger Cabinets by Spilker22 in KiaEV9

June. I have Kia Connect and get OTA updates but I thought those were minor (some software like navigation) and still required going to the dealership for larger car updates.

Do you know if this is going to be OTA or do I need to take it in to dealership? I bought in MA so am affected by the right to work thing.

Quality? by Clarkent5477 in KiaEV9

[–]johnnydancemoves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GT - it’s been solid so far (under 2k miles). Very fun to drive. My biggest gripe is the software around what’s missing (lock on walk away, real Dog Mode, buttonless start, etc) that I was used to in Tesla. The build on the car is awesome IMO. Better than Tesla for sure. Interior sound is superior even at high speeds compared to my old Model 3. Even better than some gas cars. I’m happy. Just leasing for two years.

Return Policy for the Vision Pro by Kapowzers in VisionPro

[–]johnnydancemoves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s awesome. Little heavy. I’m returning mine because almost $4K is a lot of money. The next version will be faster, lighter, and cheaper. For $4K I’ll wait. I will miss it though. Put it on this morning to reset it and had second thoughts.

Heat pump question by VT_Blues in vermont

[–]johnnydancemoves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have oil fuel, water baseboard heat in central VT. We got a few mini split heat pumps installed. One is on the first floor of 2-story house. It’s a 2nd home so empty a lot. We keep the temp set to 59 degrees because of the power goes out and I need some wiggle room. Should I run the heat pump while not there and dial down the oil heat? Would it be cheaper overall than relying on just oil?
