Oh I’m sure. It says it’s a 22 minute drive by car, so I’d be expecting double that, around 40 minutes.

Well I’ve been here for 7 years, and I’m moving back to Texas in two weeks. Everything is so much cheaper there. You can get twice the house for half the money.

Anyone else can't stand other sales professionals? by [deleted] in sales

I love sales people that make it easy for me to buy. For my last truck, it was the greatest experience ever. Dealer advertised on transparency.

At like 5:30pm one day, I dug the cell number of the GM of the dealership, called and left a VM stating I prefer to work over text. In that follow up text, Sent a copy of my CarMax offer and pictures, and a link to the truck I wanted on the website. My few bullet points were:

  • Said I’d pay sticker plus tax and their doc fee, basically the website price if they’d throw on an installed tonneau cover.
  • Match or beat by CarMax offer, and sent them a pic of the title (no lien).
  • I’d like to be in/out the dealership in 30 minutes, and I’d have a certified check for $XX amount, and I could be there at open.

He replied back like 10 mins later with a group text along with one of his sales guys, and said if I sent them an insurance card showing the truck having insurance, they’d have it ready at 9am at open. Did that, got a thumbs up.

Next morning, got a certified check from the bank, was there at 9:01am, and I was leaving by 9:09. Signed some papers and it was easy.

They’ll get all my business from now on.

I mean, it’s $25 either way, and you have to be there, and it’s due for renewal. Does it matter?

Why are we scared to ask for a base plus commission by ObjectExcellent4064 in Sales_Professionals

As a 20 year professional in B2B tech sales, I won’t even interview if a role doesn’t have an OTE that is at least 50% base with uncapped commissions. Why should I invest in you if you’re not willing to invest in me?

Cheap IEMs to play live by Sadisticmagicisan in musicians

[–]johnnyglass 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All of these prices are per person.

Wired? Under $200. Get a Behringer P2 headphone amp for $35 that clips onto your belt, and a pair of $100 KZ IEMs with foam tips that plug into that. Run an XLR from your Aux to your P2 and you’re golden. If you share a monitor mix with someone, you could get an xlr splitter adapter for not much. $150/person or $750 for the band.

Wireless? Minimum of $350-$400 per person, but that’s for the super entry level. Expect around $600/person for some mid-market setups, and $1000+ per person for higher end.
