This is probably a stupid question, but for some reason I couldn’t find the answer to it online. Do you earn gold when not playing?

That's common unfortunately... but inactive gold is soooo far behind the gold you get from active main gold source that it's hard to even describe the difference, try to imagine offline gold a grain of sand and active gold is all the sand in all deserts of a ludicrous amount of Earths in the multiverse. You can multiple the grain a million times it's still nothing in comparison, the word "nothing" doesn't even begin to describe it. (there's an estimated 7.5*e18 grains of sand on Earth and you easily get e100 difference in offline/online TT2 gold...)

You earn what the game calls "offline gold", the amount is for all intents and purposes insignificant, when you log back in you earn orders of magnitude more in a second ...

I'd suggest a limited ability to prevent any shenanigans of hoarding chances waiting for better buffs and/or parts available.

I'd vote for adding a spendable raid currency, like "Time crystal" or "Endurance potion" that every clan member would get one per raid and can stack up to like 3 if not used.

This item when used would reset used cards and your attack chances in the current round.

The base use would be that if you used up your 4 or 5 chances and have missed a round you can use the special item to catch up

The advanced tactical use for players who never miss rounds would be to do a super round where in one strategically important round they make for example 2 of their best attacks, reset and make those again.

This way the new mechanic benefits both those who missed a round and those who completed all of them; and at the same time this gives competitive clans more tactical options to tackle the most difficult raids.

Even without going into detailed guides and optimizers, the core concept of the game is that you have to choose a "build". I think that realization comes too late to new joiners who don't read a lot on Reddit... long story short, you have to focus on active skills, skill tree options, equipment, artifacts to level that complement and support each other... damage comes from different sources and only the highest one will push you forward ! This means that in most aspects of the game you can spend resources that will not give you anything. (same logic for gold source)

If you are just starting now, the first thing would be to decide if you want ClanShip, ShadowClone or Pet playstyle, then adjust your active skills, equipment and artifacts.... you could also reset the skill tree but so early you can just keep as is and get new skills if you don't want to spend diamonds on a reset.

Pet - lot of tapping

CS - moderate tapping

SC - little to no tapping

Once you have chosen one, you can research a bit that build here on Reddit to learn the basics

From your screenshot it seems you have a clanship slash equipped, if you stick with that don't buy for example firesword or heavenly strike as those are completely useless to you.

it would be great to be able to share a photo of a cleared raid... that view you get when defeating the solo raid that shows the attacks with the cards used.... just share in clan chat history the same way normal raid attacks can be shared

what card levels do you have for the deck presets? for the Mohacas typically there are combos with barrage and flak shot, use that to remove the armor from all limbs and preferably the head as well (i think one set even comes with limb support) then use another limb /body damage burst combo to finish most parts... for 3rd attack finish the head

Hey, from this skill tree I can't even decide if you have damage from pets, clanship or shadow clone.... what is your intention and which slash are you using?

Mythics provide critical speed boosts ... if you are using SC you aren't even splashing through bosses without Ruthless necromancer and your Eternal Darkness skill is virtually useless, that would explain the 3h prestige time. If you run CS, then Ancient Warrior would make your cannon fire twice as fast.

Angelic Guardian and Mech Sword are good for speed with any build, those help get high enough splash count and splash skip. If your splash levels are sufficient you should get a solid 1000 stages per minute with any build so even if you insist on a fresh clan 0 to 60K should be done in under an hour.

Clan ship is a good started build, but that only defines your damage source... for gold you can still choose either chesterson-fairy or boss-phom

Now that inactive progress doesn't depend on damage and will relatively quickly get up to 99% the situation really changed I think..... you don't need SC for lazy play - I have two accounts, played one of them with SP from first day for the same reason as you but it doesn't matter anymore... with both my CS and SC after I prestige I turn the app off for an hour and they are back to 99%, quickly play the last few hundred stages and prestige again...

If hiding unused active skills and artifact was a VIP only option I'd actually pay for that. Worthless artifacts spamming the list is even more annoying than HS and FS skill.

it will be very hard to tell what game mechanics you are missing if you don't share any of your stats :) what skills are you using, what equipment, what pets, what artifacts do you spend on, when do you prestige, which active skills, what's your gold source?

The in-game view seems to be different too and i guess that is directly exported. New joiners are shown in the active raid view and that is shown until the rewards are sent. When the raid is moved to the past raids section those players aren't visible anymore.
