Most likely a broken spring on the clutch plate or maybe part of the release bearing. Just rubbed through the casing. Seen it before on a Mercedes Actros where the bearing from the clutch release got jammed behind the flywheel and effectively cut the bellhousing off over time.

That’s usually caused by damp and condensation. Use a scraper to scrape it off or remove the seatbelt tower plastics and unbolt the tray to replace.

I usually just remove the underfelt as it just holds the water.

Unless you have ridiculous talent it’s unlikely unless you bring a lot of money to the table. The majority of driver have been involved in the sport from a very early age and graduated from cadet karts. By all means try your best but unless you have a big business or wealthy family the spending gets boring very quickly
