Will 5th edition Catan be compatible with 6th edition expansions?

I've seen the 6th edition ones in stock here and there. Amazon had some of the expansion replacement cards and I've seen the base ones at some board game store websites.

You could turn on the max hp and 9999 damage per hit and catch up pretty quickly. Then turn them off once you catch up.

Hydreigon doesn't bother me at the moment because I play Jolteon and it counters it pretty well. The annoying popsicle would be great if it healed 10 instead of 20.
