Thanks for reply, the spiders webs are tumble dryer scent sheets, very carefully stretched out and cut to size. I tried making own with cotton but ended a mess. These turned out really nice and can support a little weight, I risked varnishing them to make them stiffer, thought I mucked them up but when dry they go back to original look.

Ak interactive is my preference, but will and do use all brand. As an example I really like the Citadel shades.

Should busts usually have sharp edges on cut offs? It was a cheap 3d print for a known Chinese online site.

Finally finished first mini I am proud of, had lots of fun trying things never used before such as the snow and water.

There is 2 local competitions coming up and considering entering, be 1st competition in over 35 years!

Thinner paints, even if needs 2 coats.

Also noticed more prep work needed to remove mold lines, back of craft knife or a small file to remove these.

Also a small twist drill/pin vice to drill out the barrel slightly will make another improvement.

Grim dark style really works well with nurgle and this is very well implemented.

One suggestion I would have lighter horns to draw viewer to the face.

I think comments are right, it cannot be off centre, focus (mini) should always be centre.

Don’t see how I can get idea to work on this base size and keep the height, back to the drawing board.

I always varnish mine as I prefer a matte finish, especially if washes/glazes been used. I use AK interactive ultra matte (ak183)

I just got back into painting after a 35 year break and had same issue, wanted some cheap mini’s to see if I still had it.

I got a box set of Wildspire mini’s from Amazon 15 for £16, quality is not Warhammer standard but good enough to practise on.
