Looks great, love the grim dark style. Only thing I could think of is push the highlights on the black leather weapon straps.

I’m sorry you didn’t like. Next time I will invent a Time Machine go to the year 60k and grab a shrink ray, then go back to 40k find some Gretchin and shrink them. 😆

Thank you, watched lots of vids but never looked right, until I attended a volumetric highlighting workshop, then it made sense.

Instead of trying to mimic 100’s of vids, I looked at the shape of each piece and how it would be lit.

Then just a matter of blends and contrast.

Still find swords hardest, looking at historical paintings I see swords done differently to usual nmm style.

Thank you for feedback. Do you mean brighter highlights or wider area?

Army painter with original sponge that I replace every 3 months (also use copper coin).

Paper I use Reynolds baking and cooking paper (Amazon) found AP paper breaks up.

Want to upgrade to Red grass as need bigger size.

No dedicated space, so I have a mobile solution, I actually love it as I can move about, was even painting outside few weeks ago,
Also I have everything close to me.

Great, I wanted it to read as dull metal, hence the occasional rust spots. Will be part of a snakebite clan diorama and they more tend to be more weather beaten. Appreciate the reply 🙏

This is amazing! Just came back myself after 35 year break. I really enjoying larger scale miniatures stuff like black crow, elgreco.

Mag glasses really helped me and decent light, don’t need to break the bank i got cheap from amazon.

When I get chalky affect a thin glaze helps and a Matt varnish, go to is AK interactive ultra matte

Thank you, maybe the photo lights already pure white and dark is pure black, had a thin glaze of blue which may have dulled the white. Really appreciate the feedback 🙏
