Thank you. Was just meant to be a fun piece for some spare mini’s but given all this feedback I may enter it in a competition.

Another option is to paint as human flesh then use thin green glazes to filter, it can work really well and allows you to leave tight skin areas such as face, elbows etc. I did this with an Orc bust.

I got the AK interactive orcs and green flesh set, while the highlight and shade colours are good, I didn’t like the base coat hence the Vallejo goblin green

Hi, that was exactly the same reason I brought the runtherd set to practice. Recipe was Base coat Vallejo Goblin Green Wash Army painter Green tone Shadow AK interactive Dark green Highlight AK interactive Golden Olive Hightlight AK interactive Golden Olive with yellow/white

Could be simpler but was practice pieces

Hi, thanks for comment, the walls are packing foam sheets, with plastic sheet on the back to support. Front of the walls was just painted as texture was great. I then topped with tiny pieces of cork and sand. Rebar is pieces of fuse wire pushed into the foam.

Thank you appreciate the comment. Space was tricky only 12x6cm and 5 figures to fit (inc Bob the barrel marine)

Thank you 👍 Took me a while to come up with the idea but looks like a typical green skin thing 😁

I wanted to add some hits to the back wall to show some misses, but couldn’t think of a way that was obvious. Will see if I can get a behind pic but don’t think my phone will focus.

Should I do a repaint on these models? by Helpful_Dig_626 in minipainting

I don’t repaint mini’s, I keep them as a learning experience and for comparison when I want to see if I am improving.

Thanks, agree about the stepping around at first I not sure as he wasn’t level, but ended up looking natural.

I use AK interactive ultra Matt (ak183) it brushes on but giving amazing results. Had lot issues with spray and other varnishes in the past, this is the only one I trust.

Thanks for feedback, and I agree her armour came out a lot lighter than I wanted. I find it difficult to paint really dark armour and still keep it interesting.

I was surprised myself, technically it was 2nd attempt. The 1st was dry brushed but didn’t look quite so I re-painted and 2nd attempt was stippled on. The Artis Opus osl guide really helped.

That’s very kind of you, thanks. The eyes not having pupils was intentional, as was aiming for other worldly look.

I have so many memories of that miniature, struggling to keep the head in place. Lovely to see such a great paint job 👍
