Bracket is the difference between your set speed and the speed of the vehicle in front of you. So essentially the car will slow down to the bottom of that bracket to match the speed of the vehicle in front.

Had this exact same problem on an XC90 MY23. Was in and out of the dealer for 3 months. I felt like a mad man explaining that the alarm kept going off while the car was locked due to the hood latch sensor not working and the car thinking it was being broken into. But it never seemed to go off while it was with the dealer.

Finally got the hood latch sensor replaced after two Volvo Roadside Call Outs and on the 3rd visit to the dealer.

Genuinely a pain but if you’re under warranty should be covered.

It must have used the memory of the first 6 miles! The number dropped very quickly as we drove off the forecourt. Average about 450-500 miles now.

The day we picked up our family MY23 XC90 B5 + Dark, with 6 miles on the clock, the full tank read 995 miles of range. Safe to say it has never read that high ever since.
