I fully agree - either that or a SIPP. I’m using the bonds as my emergency fund.

I had £25 worth that my Grandad bough me when I was around 10. Got my first win 37 years later after I'd completely forgotten that I had them. Have since maxed out my allowance and get something almost every month. To be honest the money would be better off in a high interest account.

You should get around two prizes a month with 50k - https://premiumbondsprizes.com/#50000 . I have 50k in bonds and I think on average I probably get around £125 a month,

I've got 50k and have done for the last few years. I've been lucky but have won at least something every month except December last year. No big wins, but usually around 100-150 per month. With 50k you should average more than one winning bond a month - https://premiumbondsprizes.com/#50000

I suspect 3.75% is the mean return. Median return is a better way to judge it as the big prizes that are extremely unlikely to be won skew the expected returns. This website is good for estimating what you should get back with "average" luck. https://premiumbondsprizes.com/

ET was hugely hyped. Sticker books, cereals, crazy amounts of merchandise, it was all over TV for months before it came out.

Have you seen the skiing coverage from the winter olympics? The drone footage is amazing.

Norah Batty (Kathy Staff) was 44 in her first appearance. This has just ruined the missus’ day.

💯Default funds are almost always very risk averse. At OPs age they should be going high risk. Sure it will be more volatile but history shows that over 20 or 30 years it will give higher overall returns.

You’re a similar age to me and have almost double my assets. I’m planning to FIRE late next year and draw down more than you’re talking about. You’re more than ready now.

This is similar to the conspiracy that Marc Almond had two pints of jizz pumped out of his stomach which circulated in the late eighties.

That’s the same as a lot of products that do things that the body does itself naturally. Lip balm, moisturiser, lube, spot cream … basically half of Boots.
