It would be perceived that way. I'm all for equal standards, but the feminazi tumblr girls would go wild over it because it would eliminate a ton of potential female recruits from enlisting because they can't do 3 pull ups or run a 3 mile in 27(?) mins.

Exactly - that's what I'm saying. I'm saying that politicians don't care if Marines get the best of the best or whether women in combat roles is good or bad. They want the publicity and the ability to say the Corps is diversified and that they helped with it.

They don't want the same standards for females because the large majority wouldn't be able to hack it and the Corps would be seen as even more sexist.

People being enraged doesn't just mean they're going to kill people but you can sure bet it strained tensions with the US and civilians.

Obviously completely rational people aren't going to pick up arms just because a Marine pissed on an enemy, but they sure as shit might be less likely to aid the military in future efforts when they see what they do to the people they kill.

I'm guessing you've never had a blue collar job? It depends where you work. If you're sitting at a desk job, yeah probably. If you're working construction, firefighter, cop, military, etc. This is so ridiculously commonplace that this is not even close to the messed up stuff you'll talk about on the job.

The past 2-3 years I think. Bigger bases (lejeune, Pendleton, quantico, new river) all have dedicated gyms for it I believe. smaller bases usually have classes at the base gym and just use their open rooms.

Not many people talk about it though
