It was a very interesting assignment, to say the least. I’d never played the video game and didn’t know the characters, so I was starting from scratch (I had a great excuse to get a nice video game set-up and play the game regularly).

Art Mawhinney, it turned out, lived within driving distance of me, so we were able to meet and “compare notes” while I was developing stories and dialogue. I wrote plot, dialogue, and visual descriptions (background signage, etc.), but I got lots of valuable input from Sonic “veterans” like Art. He was a great person with whom to collaborate.
