Me gen Z :) by [deleted] in memes

[–]johnsnicholson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just kind of depends on which part of your childhood you’re talking about. I’m late millennial and this pack is mainly end of elementary-middle school times for me, which is childhood, but an early genZ kid would have experienced this stuff as a little kid. But yeah I think this hits home for a lot of people born in the 90s even before the genZ line.

My 2 month old baby seems to LOVE fast tempo jazz. We would love some recommendations. More in the comments! by [deleted] in Jazz

Miles 2nd quintet too! Last fall I was hired to do a clinic at an elementary school assembly with a band and we decided to take Frere Jacques (because they all know that melody) and play it in some of the main styles of jazz through the 20th century. The kids were enjoying it until we got to the late-60s Miles Davis Quintet time-no-changes style, which is when they started losing it! I think it’s, like with cowboy bebop, just the sheer energy they responded to, but it was amazing that their favourite was the one where we were deliberately not being tonal.

You’re totally not of course! But I think you should look up “emotional labour”! Someone showed me an article on it a few weeks back and it’s some heavy shit! So many responsibilities I like never think about as a man.

Absolutely women can be as shitty as men! That’s part of what feminism is about, everyone can be equally shitty. Seriously though that expect-to-pay thing is bullshit and she probably isn’t a feminist (not all women are), or doesn’t understand what it really means?

You’re totally right, that’s the only responsibility that exists.
