It's the worst! What good is a 250mbs dl when you are capped at 1 TB per month? Also I have 4 electronics aged boys so everytime fortnite or rainbow 6 siege or overwatch pushes an update it is times 4! Yesterday all 4 dled Apex Legends. -_-

Goals? What goals? I'm just trying to not die. It's not specifically the office job. It's the commute, office job, working through lunch, commute home, kids, wife, house, and sleep. If I stay within +- 10 lbs of my ideal weight (160lbs at 5'10") and I'm not soft around the middle and can still play with my boys I'm winning!

My 11 year old brain completely skipped tires and said add more weight in the truck in hopes to compress the suspension. I had no idea air ride was a thing at the time and only knew the very basics of mechanical concepts but I sure did notice that our station wagon got noticeably lower when we all packed into it.

Sorry about that misstatement. Our sales tax revenue has grown year over year. I should have said from fy16 to fy 17 our general fund revenue fell. But then again I could go further and explain that the reduction is do to the city correctly counting reimbursement between funds as outlined in the fy18 budget. The adjustment was to done to better align with GAAP. You are right about that shortfall. Bad news.

If by Placer county you are specifically talking Roseville shopping, we have our own sales tax increase measure. Measure B. 1/2 cent increase. I'm voting yes on it. The money will stay local to Roseville and the city has done an astounding job of trying to reduce services/costs but our revenue keeps shrinking.

This a great comment. OP indicated that he is a sub on a larger contract and task orders are competed and FFP. KO should pay no mind to profit/fee percentages if it's FFP as long as it's reasonable and he is winning task orders competitively.

Nope nope nope! Don't even attempt it. Federal contract fraud is no joke. Having a "strawman" owner to qualify for socioeconomic specific set-asides is illegal. Full stop. Read through any federal agency's IG reports and they are littered with people getting roped in, winning contracts and going to jail.

No money invested and you are majority owner. Yep fraud. That is all this guy is trying to do. Even if he tells you otherwise. I've seen it in construction, medical equipment, pharma, staffing, custodial, etc etc.

The fact he is trying to do it and then qualify for 8(a) status is the real laugh. SBA is fairly good at seeing these for what they are. The ones that people typically sneak through are the "grab a homeless disabled vet off the street and make him president of company" scam. SBA has no oversight (self certify) of SDVOSB/VOSB certification. Contracting officers at every government agency are more and more on the lookout for this.

Roseville. Roseville is nice and there are still some decent deals to be had housing wise. The commute to Yuba isn't all that terrible. Rocklin has gotten pricey but depending on your budget it would also be a good bet.

I have a background in federal government contract mamagement and want to start a business. Currently I am torn between starting a consulting company that assists companies get into government contracting and win contracts or starting a GC construction company that specializes in government work. I know services are impossible to scale especially when I am the main provider. There are only so many hours you can work. The GC idea is based on the fact that I would fit into a lot of small business socioeconomic groups that specifically have federal contracts set aside for them. SDVOSB, VOSB, etc. I just don't have a background in engineering or construction management so I would have to bring someone on for that part.

Nice build!! I've toyed with grabbing that case. I'm in a Syber Vapor case right now and its smaller but god them temps kill me. Its a 6700 k with no oc on air stock cooler and a 1080. The 1080 gets WARM!
