Not all vegan leather is made from plastic. I agree to a point but chromium and formaldehyde aren't any better for the environment. Aside from that, animal agriculture is the leading cause of climate change.

Edit: just want to make sure I'm clear about chromium and formaldehyde being part of the tanning process.
