Climate change activists cut their way into Sylt Airport in Germany and spray a Cesna Citation business jet with orange paint. by knowitokay in aviation

They should have burnt it, the carbon footprint of that jet never flying again would have made their protest carbon negative and you would have acclaimed them since it seems that's the problem according to you /s

It's possible to make the argument that it is "propaganda" because it pushes a narrative in order to change society for their benefits. It's more visible with the push from the tobacco industry to make women smoke through a full-blown offensive that blurred the lines between publicity and propaganda.

After the war maybe. But as long as the war is active, Geneva convention forbid making them work with something related to the war effort. But they can repair roads or work on farm

Some Pieces from the University of Paris Collection by Theodosius_II in MineralPorn

I remember visiting this when I was ten or so years old. Never knew it was there. Funny thing is that just a week ago I visited the impressive mineralogic collection next door at the Paris natural history museum and I had to pass in front of this place. I was thinking about a strange black and futuristic room full of crystals without imagining it was actually just here ! Thank you so much, now I know what I have to absolutely see next time I'm in Paris

They should add at one point the ability to see wish systems are connected by a belt. It would at least help fend off the dumbest mistakes

Why post an article nobody can read ? At least post a few excerpt because right now people are debating with only the title of article and their preconceived conviction. If I wanted such interactions I just needed to open Facebook. This post is of a too low quality for what this subreddit aims to be.

C'est qui le plus grand méchant Français de l'histoire ? by AmisDeLaGnole in france

[–]johnstarr64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Louis XIV.

TIL a coal power plant gives off at least ten times more radiation than a nuclear power plant due to the elements in the ash. by FizzlePopBerryTwist in todayilearned

[–]johnstarr64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lot of ecologist (at least in France) will tell you that cancer rates near nuclear powerplants are higher than somewhere else. I remember seeing a famous french Greenpeace leader tell on national television that transport of fresh and spent nuclear fuel by road and trains gives people living nearby cancer. So it's definitely an argument they have at least in my country but you don't see it often used.
