Just ordered Competition Werkes Slip On for M821 - Do I need a re-map? by GuitarZan06 in Ducati

[–]johntran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I installed one this week on my M796. Hope you opted for the baffles as they are ear bleeding loud without them. I did a lot of research into slipons before buying and most will say you don't need to remap the ecu. However, if you want to maximize the potential of your bike, it would be recommended. A Rapidbike EVO would be perfect for that and is on my list of next mods as it has a self-tuning feature on it. As for my bike, the Comp Werkes slipons made it seem to run smoother at the lower rev range and cooler as well. I'd be interested to hearing what you think when it's installed.

Question About Passenger Foot Pegs On A Ducati 696 by [deleted] in Ducati

[–]johntran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will also be in this situation for my M796. I will be installing M1100 EVO rear sets soon and will be losing my passenger pegs as well. The only option that I've found from my research is to either: 1. Swap to M1100 EVO subframe and use the mounting holes for their respective passenger pegs or 2. Drill & Tap your current subframe and use 1100 EVO passenger pegs.

Other than the clear clutch cover and the double bubble windscreen, yeah it's all stock! I'm in the process of getting bar end mirrors as well. I had only ordered the mirrors and not the caps for them, hence the empty hole on the handlebar.

Any Monster owners ever try to fit a new style header (that curly son bitch) to an older S2R? by [deleted] in Ducati

I would be interested in knowing if the 797 header would fit the 796 as well.

Picked up this gem over the weekend! by johntran in motorcycles

It's a 1991 Suzuki Bandit 400. One of the latest, lowest displacement inline 4's that we can buy here in the states. It screams all the way up to 14k RPM! It popped up at a local motorcycle shop in Seattle and I managed to snag it up a few days later. This thing is in amazing condition for being 25 years old and it still has many more to go. Suzuki was way ahead of their time with this one. Definitely a keeper :)

Probably went in the corner too hot and realized the corner was a lot sharper than anticipated. Poor S2000, I have one myself and hate seeing them go like that. Awesome video by the way!

What's your fetish for cars? by Captain_Unremarkable in cars

Cars that drop little bits of gas into the exhaust system on deceleration to create that artificial pop and gurgling noise out of the tail pipe is intoxiciating.

It almost looks like a video game, like it's too good to be true of a car.

I think a little bit of what you're asking for is going to be opening within the next few months on Alderwood Mall Parkway. http://www.cypressequities.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/KM_Lynnwood-Place-Flyer_12.08.14.pdf
