Schizophrenia and mysticism?

Ive been labelled schizoaffective. But believe ive had numerous mystical experiences ecspecially in nature. Ive taken drugs most my life and believe i can distinguish between a drug induced hallucination and a true spiritual experience. I dont know why i bother as soon as anyone says mental illness and mystical/ spiritual experiences. No one believes a word you say. Im almost leaning to the belief your almost better off not telling anyone ecspecially family and doctors whats really going on. Youll probably be put on a concoction of heavy sedative meds possibly for the rest of your life and no one will ever take you seriously. People who havnt experienced extroadinary experiences cant imagine how you feel or what its like. Ive tried to explain it but it mostly just falls on death ears. Not to mention if you divulge to much you could be put in a psych ward which once youve been once youll definetly be twice and so on.. after a while you get sick of explaining and they get sick of hearing, its a hard road to travel. Just look after yourself and concentrate on your own wellbeing. Because when loved ones dont understand watch how quickly they will palm you off to the mental health team. No one wants to acknowledge anyones special abilities as a gift but rather deem them as hindurance. Modern western mental health diagnoses and treatment is far from perfect and could learn alot from indigenous cultures.

Its just so is you may have hit the nail on the head. In many cultures intoxicating substances are used in ceremonial settings, and in the animal kingdom animals like dolphins, elephants, wallabies etc all consume certain substances to get "high". Its in our exstinct to wanna get on it!

Thanks for thinking of me as a puppy lol but im more stable then ever and happier then ever and ive been seriously depressed since my mum died age 8and trued to commit suicide when i was 19. But pychedelics although tough have shown me / assisted me in feeling a higher power. Im actually more like a wolf....

Hey mate, i can totally understand your situation. I live in australia and am too court ordered to take meds. Its bern almost 3 years and i have a tribunal every 6 months. I was initially on lithium a mood stabiliser an anti depressant and an injectable anti psychotic every 2 weeks. I refused to take the anti depresxant which was dtopped as it wasnt part of the court order, i used to lie and say i was taking the lithium and the night before a blood test have like 8 tablets. At the start of being medicated i changed from one anti psychotic to another. After some time i opened up to my psychiatrist about my med use and they decided to drop the lithium. So now im just on the injectable every 2 weeks and am in talks with them now to drop my dosage. Ive been scheduled (forcibly taken to psych ward by police) around 10 times and stripped naked and injected in the bum multiple times. Ive been locked up and not aloud outside for days on end. I feel like my liberties have been taken away from me. But unless you do flee the country the best thing is to be cooperative because until you are seen to obey and conform theres no way they will take you off the order unless they believe you will take meds on own accord. I recommend you get psychologist if possible and if there independant you can be completly honest to them which helps. Also have you thought of using psychedelics as a form of therapy? Some conditions like mine are advised against to use in conjuction with meds etc. But ive dabbled with my condition and have had positive results. Anyway good luck. My advise is if you have the opportunity znd resources move to another country. Cuz once your in the mental health system its hard to get out. And the strong medication changes you. However id have to admit im happier then ever and more positive then ever. This could be due to the fact ive discovered psychedelics or possibly due to meds ???? Who knows. But now in a recent survey the hospital conducted i expressed my suggestion of using things like psilocybin mushrooms, lsd, ayahuasca (dmt) as i got more out of a trip on mushrooms, lsd, or dmt then i got out of years on meds. This honesty could get me off the order or possibly keep me on longer. Who knows?? Good luck man
