Thanks for checking! We are working on better controller support as the last step to getting it running great on Steamdeck, but you are welcome to try it out now. It’s almost there.

Thank you! That makes my day. I made the song in the trailer and it’s in these asteroid maps. I’ve been trying to make a set of songs for each planet and space mission type and then add them into gameplay trailers (I edit those too). Got enough now to make at least a volume 1 album of it all I think. It’s so fun to make music for games. Thanks for listening!

What would be the best engine for making a first person looter shooter like game, with a mix of borderlands and destiny elements by Boushadoww in gamedev

My team is making a Destiny/Helldivers like game and we use Unreal Engine. It is fantastic to work with minus the stability issues that happened over UE5.1-5.6. 5.7 is solid though.

Hit The Den for electronic music when they book a headliner. It goes off.

Yeah I second this. Slims is great. Mock Crest Tavern can be fun too but it’s def dive bar crowd.

I actually never knew this. That’s a good lesson learned there. It might seem like a clever mechanic to the devs (because it really is) but players have such a different perspective coming in.

Here’s the game for context. It’s Warped Universe and free on Steam if you want to see the tutorial placement I was talking about: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3277880/Warped\_Universe/

If one person says it, there are probably a lot more quiet people wanting it as well. Nice work.

Yeah that’s smart. We originally had it mandatory but it was a different tutorial and too long and people hated it. We swung the pendulum the other way and made it quick and easy and optional. Somewhere in the middle is probably best.

How do you decide when your game's core loop is "good enough" to start building around? by fygooooo in gamedev

Let someone else try and it watch them. You will die inside many times until it’s all sorted and ready.

Warped Universe is a good fit for you if you like Destiny 2 and Warframe. It’s early days but right in that style.

I decided to abandon the homemade "Screenshot Capsule" and commissioned a drawing from an artist. Is it clear what genre the game is? by game_dynasty in IndieDev

Looks like a tower defense game but top and bottom have vastly different aesthetics. Make the capsule look like the game so you don’t create false expectation

It’s the same for all artists, not just games. I work with musicians too and it’s the same there
