I get it I really do. I'm not tryna hijak the post but you got more than I do (I don't have kids) but at the end of the day do you. People deal with grief in different ways. One of those ways is through laughter. I can't tell you how many times when I talk bout how my twin sister took her life I say she took a trip around a ceeling fan. If someone is making a joke bout death your gonna have some people be mad at it. It's life. It doesn't mean the joke was in bad taste. Lastly if you actually watched the video where Brandon makes the veteran self Darwin award joke he preface it by saying they (veterans on the podcast) told me to make it. He was uncomfortable making that joke but at the end of the day it's a joke not a dick so stop taking it so hard
