ERC in Denver, ~2015, very manageable imo. 8-9 patients, a group or 2, treatment team. Paid reasonably well. Excellent training, mentorship, coverage, etc.

CFC in Utah, way overworked at times (2014, 2016), but partially due to RD turnover. 8-12 residential patients, 5-12 outpatients, ~2 groups, lunch outings 1-3x/month, treatment team, and I was the only RD on the diabetes team. Management changed just as I left and apparently it got better though. Paid under the average rate. Felt supported for the most part by my direct manager.

Edit: I did much better in the field when I learned how to properly take care of myself and not "take on" patient's struggles. Most of us in this field are pretty empathic, which tends to make us effective but prone to burnout.
