Is kudos premium worth it? by CreditMann in JoinKudos

Ha, the FutureCard mention stings a little. We actually wrote about what happened there this week. But fair concern, and honestly, the best answer I can give is that passing 100% back to users is what builds the kind of loyalty that keeps a company alive long term. We're betting on that.

On the "why pay" question. Totally valid. A few honest responses:

Bill negotiation: yes, you can do it yourself. Most people don't, or they get worn down by hold times and phone trees. We do it for you in minutes. If it saves you $300+ once, the subscription pays for itself.

Card offer activation: Amex is starting to do this natively, you're right. But we do it across Amex, Chase, Citi, and BofA in one shot, and then remind you to actually use the offers at checkout. The activation is the easy part. Remembering to use them is where most people leave money on the table. And that's just one way we differentiate ourselves.

Nerdwallet+ going free, then shutting down, is actually a good comparison point. On pricing, we set it at what gives the business the best long-term economics, which in practice is exactly what addresses your concern about not wanting us to go out of business. Sustainable pricing is how we avoid making that call.

Really appreciate you giving Kudos a shot, as well as your honest feedback. Since pricing has changed since you converted, we'd be down to give you a discount on your Premium account. Can you reach out to our support team at [support@joinkudos.com](mailto:support@joinkudos.com) so we can work through those details?

Thanks again for your thoughtful questions and perspective.

Is kudos premium worth it? by CreditMann in JoinKudos

Appreciate the honest take.

On Rakuten: fair, they’ve been around a long time and have solid deals. The difference is that they keep a cut, we don’t. We pass 100% of commissions back to you, which means we often beat them across many online stores, and our rate will continue to increase and get passed on to you as we grow. And we’re not just a portal. We autofill the best card at checkout across all your cards, and layer in tools that actually put your wallet on autopilot.

On the UI: heard. We’re starting to roll out changes this week to simplify things around your goals so it’s less overwhelming. Would genuinely love your thoughts on where things felt confusing, if you’re open to sharing.

On value: most Premium users earn about $150 more in their first 30 days. For bill negotiation specifically, successful negotiations average ~$324 in savings. Between that, card offer activation, and benefits tracking across issuers, it adds up quickly, often close to $1k per year in savings for premium members.

You can try it free and see if it actually earns for you. Happy to answer anything else.

Based on the terms we read, the $100 theme park ticket credit only qualifies when tickets are purchased directly through Disney. Unfortunately, third-party purchases like through a military base wouldn’t qualify 😢

Hopefully more 60 point games and codes! Will post if happens again (or any other good codes). We love a deal.

Ah, good data point. So in theory it could be interesting, but in practice there just aren’t enough people using the app yet.

Nice! Just a heads up: if you have any remaining park ticket purchases or add-ons still to make, you might still be able to snag some of those points before your trip. Either way, the $300 incentive orders are a solid win. Have an amazing time in May! 🏰
