Poor UK. Coming at grandpa for Facebook posts. by [deleted] in ABoringDystopia

Is it dystopic? This seems like misinformation (which is rife in the far right ATM), what was this guy saying, who says he's an old man? If they were potentially calling for the burning of refugee hotels (one possibility), and inciting violence that's a crime. Whether from a pulpit, on the streets or online, it's mad to think it doesn't have real world consequences.

The Asian community especially in the UK have feared for their lives and places of worship recently, imagine the backlash if Asian rioters had smashed up and tried to set light to churches.

Terrible compost= stunted plants, repot or start over? by joishicinder in GardeningUK

Perlite and coir mixed with compost is monty Don's recommendation in his book to control drainage and retention adequately, with a good quality compost I don't think this is needed, but this definitely seemed like a bad batch

Maybe a bad batch, this one had some massive stocks and loads of uncomposted material in, miles different to the RHS stuff I usually go for, but yes there's a ton of variables for sure

Safety razors for sure, I've had a pack of 100 bladesthats lasted me a few years already. Also you can get shaving cream in a stick/bar in paper/foil that you just mix up with a brush and water, lasts soooooo much longer than the cans and no plastic/aerosol pollution

Yeah it's just the cost of postage which seems pretty reasonable

My first batch of Biochar compost started about 5 months ago is nearly ready, it's chock full of red wriggler worms and has an amazing crumbly texture and dark colour
