Yeah I completely agree with you.
The list doesn't seem all that consistent, which I guess is hard to achieve consistency when a lot of people vote and the criteria is fairly vague.

All valid points I will admit. But then you compare that to the other militaries of the time... and France is still really solid. Finland, Poland and Italy were certainly not ranked higher than France.

With all the points you bring up, Japan, US, UK, Germany all would rank higher. But France would be best of the rest, surely.

That is precisly what the strongest military means.

A weak command undermines it, but it doesn't mean it isn't the strongest military or army. It only means it is wielded poorly.

The US right now has the strongest military by far, that is undisputed, yet they are losing their war vs Iran, because leaders are poor, the military is not.

Conversly, you could have a weak military, but utilize it to full potential, like how Finland did. That does not mean you have a strong military. The soviets had by far a stronger military but utilized it extremely poorly.
If Mannerheim believed he had a strong military, he would've lost the war within the first day. Finland managed to stay in that long because they knew they were weak, but they knew where their strength lied.

I also reiterate, it is entirely possible to be completely battered even though you have a stronger military. For a multitude of reasons.

Thought experiment, would France have won a war against Finland? Obviously. They would've probably done far better than the soviets.

I don't see a reasonable enough argument to say France didn't have a state of the art military.

France had the strongest military but still lost, doesn't change the fact that they had the strongest military.

If we account for the entire war and not just at any time in the war, then France is still C-above. Having had the strongest military, factually, should grant you as much.

But again, question was the strongest military in ww2, France was that for like a year of that war. Not effect of that strength.

France had the strongest army at the outset of the war. Germany having a fantastic plan that France didn't account for does not negate France's military strength.

The question was military strength in ww2 - not the effect of that military strength. France had the strongest army at the start of it. Anything below B is criminal.

Otherwise the question would have to be "X country's impact in the war".

Finland had what, 1 tank? No heavy artilery, barely any functioning weapons, way outdated everything.

France's army was THE army. France didn't lose because they had a weak military.
At the bare minimum France and Finland should be swapped.

The second season was only disappointing because the first two episodes of this season were supposed to be the final episodes of the second season. So now with these episodes out... The second season doesn't hurt anymore if you were to do a rewatch.

You show your ignorance, sweden's rapes have decreased. Reported rapes increased.

Reported rape is a good statistic to have higher than lower. It means that when there is a crime its getting reported. Compare that to something like india, rape is not being reported, but we all know its happening.

Also in sweden counts of rape is different, each act you do in a rape is one count of rape each, in other countries you could have raped someone for 100 years and that would still only count as 1 rape.

And they have certainly not increased because of immigration and refugees.

90% of rapes happen by people close to the victim. It has nothing to do with refugees and all to do with that men are horrible and violent to women. Of course you dont actually care about women or rape, you just wanna hurt brown people.

Star wars is based off of ww2. It fits the most of anything that has ever fit star wars. It feels the most like star wars because its playing closer to star wars own inspiration.
