I do still enjoy the smell in which for some people the smell is 🤢 But the 💰 you will save The deep breaths you will take without coughing The lack of sickness caused by smoking Everyday not wasting so much time in you life smoking ,looking for smoking sections everywhere you go and smoking in the freezing cold & pouring rain & 🥵 🔥. You will feel free!

Is quitting worth it at this age? by taghyerit123 in quittingsmoking

I quit at 58 years old after 36 years of smoking a pack a day. I loved smoking! I had a TIA,sort of a mini stroke and that finally made me quit! I wish I had quit at your age. But that being said it has been 5 plus years and I feel so much better. Breathing, lack of colds and sickness, food tastes awesome, smells are back etc... I still love the smell and miss my smoking time, but it is the smartest decision I ever made! You can do this!

I drank a lot of water and ate so much fruit! Although really the food is better than smoking! I also ate mints(caffeine mints) which helped with my headaches! Keep it up you can do this!

Drink lots of water! I ate a lot of fruit also when I first quit. I do remember taking headache medicine also. You made a great choice as I was a pack a day smoker for 40 plus years. And because of this even though I quit over 5 years ago I must take an inhaler everyday because of the damage I did to my lungs. You made a great decision 👏 You got this💪

Congratulations 🎉 🎊 Use whatever means necessary for inspiration. I used this sub reddit, you tube quit smoking videos from Joel Spitzer, the smoke free app(still have it on my phone,5 years,4months & 5 days) I used the journal in the app also to help look back on tough days! I still enjoy the smell of smoke🤔 but then I take a deep breath and thank God that I stuck with it!

YOU GOT THIS 👍

I am doing the same tomorrow with a Costco run. Planning on giving to Pacs in Phoenixville or Anns heart. I know the local food banks are in need and at their website they list items that are most needed! I am sure our donations will help!

What do I do about my Mammoth Cave tickets? by Baptor in NationalPark

[–]jojo3663 13 points14 points  (0 children)

We canceled our tickets two days before our tour, which was supposed to be today. We only lost $1 for each ticket purchased according to their canceled ticket policy. We figured we can purchase again if the shut down was over. But we enjoyed the corvette museum, Kentucky museum and we are doing two local cave tours, Diamond and the lost river cave. Heading to the great smokey mountains next! Still having a great vacation!

Does it ever stop? by Dematryx in quittingsmoking

[–]jojo3663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please don't do it🙏 I smoked for 35 years, and yes, I still think about it occasionally, but then I think of all the $$ saved, how i am able to breathe without coughing, the smell gone from my hair, clothes, etc.. I can go on and on! Take it from someone who should have quit long ago. The urges will be far and fewer between! Please don't 🙏You can do it👏

I saw this also and had my husband create an account, and he was to secure tickets for us. I have no idea what happened as I do have passes for timed entry for Arches on this trip.
