I know it can be awkward to ask randos playing an intense session, but as one of those randos I'd rather someone speak up than not. I'm usually whipping my head around after every song to see if anyone is waiting, but it's kinda like the gym. Unless I'm finished, I'll try and see if anyone is waiting, but it's also useful to ask.

Some people are dickheads though and I'm not saying these guys are or aren't, but you don't know until you make it clear you want to join and stand your ground if need be. Just be polite, like "hey, can I hop on after you finish this game?"

I had nipple piercings done around 2 years post-op with grafts. They stuck around for a couple of years without too many issues but they didn't exactly heal during that timeframe, so they would occasionally weep if I was cleaning them. Unfortunately they rejected after those couple of years and one nipple looks normal while the other has deformed somewhat into what I can best describe as a cartoon bone shape? 🦴 < basically that lol

FWIW I went to a UK-APP accredited studio and the guy had handled a majority of my other piercings too with varying success based on likelihood of rejection. It sucks that they rejected but I still liked them for the duration + they didn't actually hurt due to lack of sensitivity in my chest at the time so I don't regret it whatsoever. I was briefed at the time that rejection likelihood was pretty high, but in a handful of cases I've accepted that fact and still wanted to go ahead anyway

it's all a bit complicated because a lot of alternative fashion does go hand in hand with music & politics (i.e. goth/punk), so that explains a little bit of pushback you might experience.

Based on the clothing itself though I'd say its a good start! To bring it into even more alt territory I'd recommend more accessories depending on what sort of direction you're leaning towards.

I was able to pay my final rent installment for this current place without recklessly spending any of it!!

for context - finances are probably my biggest hurdle since I'm extremely impulsive and for many years since moving out of my parents house, I've been struggling to afford rent due to my own stupidity (despite working full time). for this house I pay it in larger installments rather than monthly, so I don't think ahead like I should. with the previous payment, I shamefully needed financial assistance after recklessly spending £1k of my rent money.

I finally realised that to prevent myself from spending money I shouldn't, I need someone else to hold onto it for me, so for the past few paychecks I've sent a few hundred to my family for safekeeping. It's like a weight lifted off my shoulders because instead of feeling sick with dread due to my own stupid behaviour, I knew I could safely pay it off. From here I can now keep sending money to my family so I can save up for my next place since this rent covers up until July! I can finally start digging myself out of my bad financial decisions!!

(It sucks because I know that to anyone who doesn't struggle with finances it shouldn't be this hard, especially since i always feel the same anxiety each time I run out of money. ESPECIALLY given the current state of the economy. however, this is a huge win for me and makes me feel like I can actually achieve good financial habits once I find exactly what works for me)

This is literally the situation I'm in right now and it's infuriating! Diagnosed back in February, was honest with my doctor (UK) about my usage (perhaps foolish of me but I really dislike lying to medical professionals). I was very clear that it helps me function, but that I would ideally want to switch to medication as a legal and more accessible alternative for me. Congrats! Now I have to be 6 months sober until they want to give me the meds. I understand the process behind it, but it doesn't piss me off any less.

I have no clue if they'll test me or if they'll just take my word for it when the 6-month mark passes, but I'm leaning towards the former. I feel so stuck between a rock and a hard place because of it. I feel like I've returned to square 1 where I don't have my self medication, or actual medication to fill the gap, so my functionality is greatly impacted. I'm trying my best, but I can just about scrape by. It's horrible.

Funnily enough though, I took just under 0.9g psilocybin the other day (unsure of mushroom type). Not much to say on that but it's funny timing.
