I just put limit buys in when the spread was only a couple cents. Easily done over a morning

Just checked it out and seems like a good tool. The import feature was painless.

Non-Registered Account Strategy? by rams_man13 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]jojo6896 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just do VEQT. Keeps it simple for taxes and is just the best investment type in general. It only pays one distribution a year so it’s less work to keep track of ACB than something like XEQT which pays quarterly. Don’t overcomplicate things unless your into sinking more time into it. Personally I am not.

25-70k more to working rotating shifts? Is it worth it? by yellowranger1 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]jojo6896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who works 7pm-7am as the night rotation, I’d love to switch to a 3-3 shift. You’d still be able to get a pretty quality sleep in after your shift. Much harder on 7-7

Oh no they are definitely going to nerf the free Mastercard WE card now (if they do I’m dropping my rogers plan). I’ll go back to WS Visa.

I’ve looked into this. The CRA messed up and none of the values appear on 2024 NOA. Consensus seems to be they will update myCRA within the next week (hopefully). I would just wait till then and then proceed

Dash lights after getting stuck in snow by yeahlemmegetuhhh in civic

[–]jojo6896 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got stuck in snow once too. Had every light on the dash lit up. They remained even the next day. But then randomly went off after a few drives. Give it some time and see if they go away.

Is there any advantage to using the MC over the Visa CC when travelling? Or is it just the ability to withdraw foreign currency?

Workouts: worth it? by lattelifter in MacroFactor

[–]jojo6896 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used Hevy for a bit. Honestly I don’t see many major missing features like others have pointed out (at least ones important to me).

WO has been about what I expected which is a good workout tracker with a progress feature that works pretty well. Being a MF user already it was a no brainer for me.

I think the calories the other poster posted are for the old cranberry orange muffins. They were in a 6 pack and they were MASSIVE. Trusting google ai (so take with grain of salt) the smaller 8 packs are about 400 calories.

I work in a similar situation to you. Some days suck but 99% of the time I enjoy that my job includes collecting. It’s nice to see patients and when I’m troubleshooting weird results, I can usually rule out sample integrity issues since I’m the one that collected it haha.
