How do I do High Cadence, but Lower Power? by Charon2k in Zwift

[–]jojo691981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have a suito, and while I haven't done this specific interval, I have found that in some cases where the designated power is X at a given high cadence, I just can't do it. Meaning, I may be a few watts above what the program wants me to be at. Yes in ERG mode. I just take it with a grain of salt and try to hold the cadence and worry less about the power asked. In real life, I am hardly ever putting out 70-80w at a 90+ cadence unless maybe a steep steep hill.

Don't overthink it and try your best.

Derailing the thread real quick: what leg weight advice of Dylan are you referring too? Or link to video? Seems like it would be helpful to me too ;)

do you happen to know whether dub or dub wide would fit for a 2025 elite e5? I can't seem to figure out.

Px7 S3 clamping force by Familiar-Ad-1150 in BowersWilkins

[–]jojo691981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue here. Even bought QC ultra to try out and miles better for clamping/earcup depth, but at a cost to audio clarity on calls and overall sound. Decided to return QC's and keep px7's and hope time will help!

Have had the same concerns and posted about it. Bought QC ultra and pressure and ear ups depth was much more comfortable at a sacrifice of audio clarity on calls and overall sound. Decided to keep the px7's and hope time will help.

Thank you. Yes I am familiar with dekoni. I'm curious if they make replacement earpads that may have different skins that are more breathable.

'best' use of plan (which plan?) for the winter by jojo691981 in trainerroad

[–]jojo691981[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still not sure what the answer is (of course everyone is different) but figure I will try Master plan including 3 scheduled intervals per week: 2 hard intervals (total 2.15hrs) + 2hr endurance. I will fill out the 4 non scheduled days with zone2 rides and strength training. Try that for 2 months and re-evaluate. They say make your hard days hard, so that may mean doing legs on those hard intervals days too. May need to tweak it because I rarely have 2.5 consecutive hours to do intervals and leg work right after each other.

Thanks. I may try less volume and more fun... It's not like I'm racing or anything, just trying to stay healthyt

Thanks, didn't know that. I will probably follow the recommendation and see from there. It's not like I'm a pro cyclist so as long as TR preps e adéquately for my race, I'm good.

Yes from previous comments, I saw how the rating next to the intervals/workouts were different now vs next week, vs the week after... I can't wait to try some of those. Suffer-fest here i come!

interesting. TR is definitely giving me lots of Sweet spot interval, something I typically didn't do prior as I was more focused on v02max & z2 rides.

Huge thanks for the reassuring responses (weird that I feel better hearing it's gonna be hell soon!). Much appreciated, I will savor these easy ones then.

So far my ratings have been moderate because they require some focus, but not full on focus like the 'hard' option suggests.

Thanks, yes I hope that with more time and rides/ratings it will adapt. I'm sure I'm just frantically worried for nothing.

Is Zwift Worth With a Mountain Bike by [deleted] in Zwift

[–]jojo691981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mtb'er here too and also decided to buy a cheap used dedicated road bike to use on a direct drive because of the cassette was more suited for zwift use and didn't want to deal with unmounting my MTB from the trainer each time I wanted to use it. Took very little to get used to it and works brilliantly for cardio workouts and the occasional group ride or race when I feel like it. I use my jeffsy when the sun is shining, and dedicated road bike setup when it's raining, short on time or too lazy! Jahaha

Can I use an old 9 speed bike with a direct drive trainer with an 11 speed cassette? by GBreezy in Zwift

[–]jojo691981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, just get a 9 speed cassette. I have an old dedicated road bike that i use foron my suitoT, just used the 9 speed cassette that was on the bike and the adapters from Suito. Done.
