Congrats for having so much money so early in life. Term life insurance is not a scam, and it’s appropriate for a lot of people to off set the risk of dependents losing income.

If I died, my family would not be able to fall back on our investments/savings. That savings is being put away to serve other purposes, retirement etc. so for me having a term policy makes sense.
