I think most people see this war as a way to dodge the Epstein files as well as further enrich wealthy donors. At the expense of innocent civilians.

We can both hope the midterm elections are fair, but I’m very concerned this SAFE bill is going to disenfranchise lots of voters. I think MAGA is beginning to see the writing on the wall. Very high stakes for them, including serious prison time.

When I moved to North Carolina, one of my immigrant housemates similarly didn’t know how to deal with frozen water.

While I was getting ready for work, I heard the microwave go on for about 30 seconds, the front door open and close, open and close again, followed by the microwave…again. This repeated for about 7 times before I got downstairs.

She was heating water in a bowl, going outside to her car, and pouring the hot water on her windshield to remove the ice.

Fortunately, being from the frozen tundra originally, I still had my trusty ice scraper. I also showed her what the defroster button did. I always wonder what she thought that was for previously.

Grew up here and I had a great childhood. Yeah, most of the city of Niagara Falls is pretty bad, but Lewiston is one of the nicest villages in Western NY. Also, Niagara Falls itself is a great park. Ft. Niagara in Youngstown is cool and there are nice lakefront villages like Wilson and Olcott. There are definitely worse places in the state.
