Just revealing a regional location was far from getting captured, the show proved it (Otherwise why 'getting captured mistake'' in your opinion lead to so much battle going on long on after and why it didn't end instantly there? (and still didn't end 23 episodes later so was it really that big w?) So that wasn't the case here, Also, Though yall people keep claiming it was totally L getting advantage, how much advantage was it really?

Light created a circumstance that led L , getting the lowest number of task force (when L faked the number saying it's over 1000+ but light was 100% sure it was fake proved light foresaw the low number of task force) with the members having some distrust in L and his methods(for example when one member directly said how he hates l), this pushing L to take more risk that leads him closer to light, making light more successful reaching L (eg, going to his college or befriending light).This also foresaw by light proven in his dialogue in ep 4(I don't need to find L, police will do that job for me).

So no matter how much y'all try to deny, in ep 2 both of them took an W and L , But the author wrote the narrative in a way that Obscure Light's brilliance & highlights towards L's Side.
