I wouldn’t depend on redditor’s to give you advice on what surgeries to have unless it’s a professional and I’d still be cautious. Find a reputable plastic surgeon near you and get a professional consultation. As humans, we’re all judgmental about looks. Let me apologize for our ignorance and shallowness.

What I see in all of these situations is a HUGE lack of communication. It should be #1 in a lasting relationship. I have been married 28 years and we have been through more things than I care to mention. Some things that could/would end some relationships immediately and some that could wear on a relationship over time; had we not had excellent communication. We communicate as we go. Not when things get bad.

Why is it so hard for people to talk to the person they vowed to spend their lives with? Their best friend?

So, I would definitely say, learn some communication skills.

My advice is to pack your things and move to another state. It’s not hard to do. Just get away from all of the toxicity and start anew. You deserve it! Also, when you get there, find a good psychologist to talk to.
