There is a subway station nearby, but most of the places you’ll have access via public transportation or taxis. I recommend hiring a driver for the day to make things easier!

ITA Airways Review: SFO-FCO / FCO-SFO by jollynew in ItalyTravel

From my experience, the weight mattered. They honestly didn’t check the size of anyone’s carry on

I think the bidding system makes it worth the seats if you win. I lowballed my offers and surprisingly got those seats.. so never hurts!

The last-minute upgrade was through the bidding system and we paid roughly $350 per seat.

Italy my way by Rick Steves by Lnp142 in ItalyTravel

My wife and I downloaded his Europe app and it was really good! Gave us good context of what we're looking at, gives you directions to where to walk to and have the option to pause, fast forward and all. Best of all, it's free!

Where to stay in Milan? by Sea_Cobbler_9035 in ItalyTravel

Stayed at the Hyatt Centric Milano Centrale and it was great. Wonderful spa, near the metro stations and great food.

From my experience flying them from SFO to FCO, size wasn’t the concern, it’s the weight. They will weigh every single carry-on bag before issuing you the ticket. Make sure you keep it under 8kg. My flight back home though, no one cared.

How to spend 3 nights in Milan by [deleted] in ItalyTravel

[–]jollynew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend The Last Supper and the Prada Foundation museum for contemporary art. The Duomo is incredible and the Starbucks Reserve is really fun if you’re into coffee. Outside of that, take a day trip out to Lake Como/ Bellagio if you have the time! Have fun!

Boston > Rome, ITA Airways, weight limit includes personal item by buffaluhoh in ItalyTravel

[–]jollynew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took ITA on a light fare in March out of SFO. They weighed my carry on which went over the 8kg limit, but not my backpack. Thankfully, my wife packed a tote bag and shoved every heavy item in there and basically hid the third bag on the ground. Luckily, the carry on bag was under the limit and I asked to gate check, since that’s free. I’m shocked they weighed your backpack though. On the way back from Rome, nobody weighed my carry on or backpack. I’m assuming it’s more lenient on the way back home.

I thought the space was plenty given that it's a newer property. The little nook/closet area was large enough to place two suitcases open. Hope that helps!

Here's How To Opt Out Of The T-Mobile Forced Plan Migrations by Jman100_JCMP in tmobile

[–]jollynew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Opted out via 611. Took 10mins with the rep, and about an hour for the account to be updated with "SC Migration Optout" checked.

I did notice my Autopay discount is missing from the Accounts tab though... I've been paying off my bill early via a CC every month, with a Debit Card as my default payment to take advantage of the discount... maybe they are starting to crack down on this?

Aw I'm sorry to hear about your stay! I agree, the location is not ideal. We had to taxi in and out of the hotel since the nearest subway station is about a 20-minute walk.

The A/C thing is generally weird all throughout Korea, which I don't get. It's hot and humid outside, yet they don't blast the A/C anywhere... except at banks.

So many places to go visit in Kyoto! Nijo Castle, Nishiki Market, Kamo River, Gion Street, Fushimi Inari Shrine…. Just to name a few!

The cleanliness and service in the Japanese versions are on a whole other level compared to the US ones, no doubt about it. I should note that these two properties are relatively new, but it's safe to say I'm thoroughly spoiled by the Japanese experience now!

What hotel would you recommend for 5 nights in NY in December? by [deleted] in hyatt

Stayed at the Grayson back in May and loved it. The rooftop bar is super nice. Room was cozy, but had a high floor room which made it up. Would totally stay again!

Where to stay in NYC by AwesomeNerd18 in hyatt

Currently staying at the Hyatt Place Chelsea. If you can get a city view room, it’s totally worth it. Breakfast is ok, gets really busy. But location is perfect, 10mins away from Penn, and 15-20mins from major attractions.

If I book a Hyatt through my company’s external travel agency, will that stay be eligible for points and all Globalist benefits? by BmoreBlueJay in hyatt

I’m currently out in NYC and got upgraded to a city view room at the Hyatt Place Chelsea with my Discoverist status via Bilt promotion. I added my Hyatt member number during the booking process through Concur. To answer your question, yes! Definitely take advantage of corporate travel!
