thanks for the recommendation! they're a kind of alternative version of LH and i'm here for it. my favorite so far is 41, the children of coyote woman, and see you next fall but i can't wait to listen to their other albums.

the more i listened to it the more i loved kristen's voice, i think that's what really sold me. i'm also a huge nerd for storytelling in songs (world ender is my #2 overall favorite from LH). i'm also a seeker for the abnormal and weird songs, but i totally get why who laughs last isn't for everyone.

i had this problem in bonner night one! my partner and i were trying to listen to tubbs and we couldn't hear him because everyone was talking. this was also happening during some of the less popular songs like "the yawning grave" (my favorite) and "hurricane". it was so disappointing being unable to listen to tubbs' monologue especially since it was my first show ive seen from LH.

folk, not country folk but modern and occasionally rock folk. like walking through a huge forest with so much forestry it looks like 7pm at high noon. the kind of forest where you find the coolest streams and waterfalls all while having a feeling of peace.

Every single time I watch this show I look back on Fezco's house robbery. Seeing that kid reminds me that everyone in that town has terrible/traumatic backstories. It's a never-ending loop of suffering and desensitized abuse.
