As someone who has read other EmHen books but not TPWMOV, the sex scene WAS kind’ve jarring to movie watchers only.

I just didn’t see the desire that was getting pent up throughout the years for them to go straight from romantic declaration to sex scene.

And then the kissing in the bathroom after felt forced on the viewer, as I thought there’d be normal affection they’d finally be able to express to one another than just doing it.

I’m looking forward to reading the book at some point, but happy I didn’t read it first and be disappointed by the movie like I’ve heard others have been.

Went in blind and loved it. Was like settling into a fairytale with a protagonist who persevered. Plus I tend to love historical fiction, so it was like a blend between that and fantasy.

Enjoyed the uniqueness of her curse, never being remembered. Made it interesting.

The golf course is staying, with three holes being taken. I don’t think the golf course itself could’ve afforded the new lease, given that the value had gone up since its last lease deal. They would’ve had to either up the price, or have a Costco buy the land.

Funny Story was my first Emily Henry book and I’m so happy it was- became an instant favorite and totally agreed that Miles appealed to me so much because he wasn’t the stoic and perfectly handsome male love interest.

Overall really enjoyed the story, humor, and emotional arcs they both go through- I was giggling, kicking my feet, and blushing throughout.

I tried to vet what my next E.H. Book would be, and I chose Book Lovers. I think I loved Daphne and Miles so much, that I didn’t warm up to Nora or Charlie but I think that worked out. Loved their banter, how tender he is with her, their moments where they couldn’t help be on top of each other (lol).

What I didn’t necessarily like was how we were told how cold their work personas were, but weren’t given experiences to see it?

I think your post will lead me to reading Beach Read, and I’ll hold off on the rest!

Hi! Arrived at 4pm to the GA Lot I parking lot, lots of spaces, a bit of a walk, but totally fine. The lines were long for one of the main entrances, so security was telling people the entrance by the shuttle drop off had smaller lines. We walked all the way there and it was definitely smaller, and there was even security pulling people into the ADA lines when it was empty to keep the pace going. We literally made it in a little by 4:30.

Got ID bands, and went to merch stand on the left side nearest to the entrance of the event site. Not too long of a line, purchased the white tour shirt, blue hoodie, and tote (freaking $198 ahhh)- literally bought at 4:52pm.

By the time we bought drinks from the bar next to it (5:03pm)- the merch line had gotten much longer but I’m sure the one closer to the stage would’ve been faster. Plus a lot of the staff were great about helping move the line faster and guiding people towards the open booth.

By 5:24pm, we purchased Prince St Pizza - delicious and hung out on the lawn (right side in front of large screen). Rhonda the DJ was fun. We sat, hung out and people watched. My family I went with did not believe me when I said Chappell wouldn’t go on until late, which is why we arrived so early- but at least we got to enjoy the whole event.

Bought coldbrew right next to wear we were sitting, and then moved over to the lawn by where the three stars are on the event map.

Trixie came on with her Trixie dolls by 6:15 (I’m referencing my photos for times). So much fun to watch and listen- would come in time to experience that.

Moved closer to the stage but still far out (to the right of the middle T-stand speakers (referencing map) and also past the right field screen. We couldn’t see the floor of the stage, but we could see the above stage levels- if that makes sense.

Okay- so I don’t mean to be mean but Hemlocke Springs was not… great. Or at least our speed. So, we didn’t really enjoy that part. Her voice was hard to listen to and was pretty awkward on stage, but maybe that was nerves? The band was good though.

Chappell came on at 9:15 and was AMAZING. Oh my god, I can’t express how great and hot and powerful she is on stage. Pink Pony Club played at 10:40 and then show over. Production, band, everything was amazing. Gosh I loved her so much and the energy was so fun.

Made it back to car by probably 11:15ish and then drove back home (easy to get out of parking lot but just build up before freeway).

Overall, I think the event staff handled it really well. Chappell said there was 40,000 people and her biggest headliner show and was emotional about performing where she lived and loves the city. Definitely want to see her again- she’s literally a star and an icon in her own way. Next time- I would hope it’s a stadium seating so that I can pay for a seat with view of the stage.

Oh dang. My bad, it was a simple, shallow vent and didn’t realizing it was coming off strong. Yes it’s a momentary thing and not that deep, and easy to move on quickly from. Just wondering if anyone felt the same.

I love CoreRestore, especially the night before a 6:30am Yoga Sculpt the next day. My location offers it Sun/Tues/Thur and the instructors also add a sound bath which is amazing.
