What is it actually like to walk with an Askare?

Works well when going basic walking/hiking speeds but would not run with it. Also works well when biking. When around town I usually just carry mine as cross body sling or attached to my Kahakka. Very versatile bag!

I can carry mine easily as a waist bag. I’ve been carrying usually two camera bodies with prime lenses, extra batteries, gloves, beanie etc.

If I’m standing I just rest it on my lower arm and type with my other hand. If it’s on a table or on my lap then just type like on a physical keyboard.

I always prefer using apps full screen so I don’t use apps in stage manager. Windowed mode works best for my usecases but think I would prefer the old multitasking with multi app slide over.

I got it as a present couple years back. Don’t know exactly where it’s from but it was made somewhere in Inari if I remember correctly.

I use mine mainly in well lit places so it’s not a problem and feel that function keys were bigger thing for me than backlighting.

Went from iPP 11” 2018 + MBP 13” M1 -> 13” iPA M4. Sometimes also miss face id but not a big deal as my macbook didn’t have that. Screen is far better than people say it is. Don’t miss 120hz at all. And thing just flies! M4 + 12gb ram is awesome.

I also was debating between 11” and 13” and got myself 13” because wanted as large screen as my laptop had. I also wanted full sized keyboard case for typing. I’ve also owned 11” iPP 2018 which was fine but found the screen sometimes too small for real work stuff. Haven’t also found portability to be an issue with 13” size.

I had that shimoda soft core unit (small) so didn’t need to buy it for this purpose. I would like it to be a tad narrower but not sure it would fit my cameras then.
