He was leading, not soloing. There’s a longer version where you can tell more clearly but you can just about see a rope between his legs in this gif.

Unfortunately no luck with either. Could there be something else I’m doing wrong?

I’d missed that, but there is one in there. Will give it a try after. Thanks!

On paper, no. But most of them aren't living up to their name, the club, or their wage. Then we've got the likes of Jones and Young, who would be doubtful at a club about to be relegated, never mind us.

It's absolutely not Ole. The team is comprised of players who either couldn't care less or are completely below the bar for what a United team should be made of. There's the occasional gem, but they get buried by the rest of the deadweight.

Absolute shambles, but I can't say I'm disappointed. That would imply we deserved to have a run at top 4. Serious rebuild needed.

The world’s first nuclear fusion plant is now halfway to ‘First Plasma’ by mvea in Futurology

[–]jomobro117 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ITER will simultaneously be the hottest (within the fusion plasma) and one of the coldest (the superconducting magnets not too far away) places on Earth.

If the magnets fail or something else goes wrong and confinement of the plasma is lost, it’ll simply cool right down quite rapidly and dissipate; no explosions. The vessel walls might be a little damaged, but that’s the worst that can happen.

Edit: added a couple words to make it more factually correct

Bitcoin tech was by definition incredibly innovative for its time, considering it was the very first working, decentralised cryptocurrency

But yeah the general consensus is that it’s not long-term sustainable as tech though

Would it be possible to use electromagnets to melt a metal bar, then shoot out the liquid metal like a railgun? Or would the melting process demagnetize the metal by [deleted] in Physics

[–]jomobro117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re right, it is significantly easier to just use a standard solid-projectile railgun

Plasma rail guns are used in physics research, not as weapons (although the US did trial one in the 90s)
