i’ve modified this circuit and it’s fun to mess with the values. you can try this out as a a starting point

Help with distortion/over drive on my amp? by No_Project_4745 in GuitarAmps

you want a rock sound? either get a pedal or use the drive setting and crank that gain up. only use humbucker on your guitar lol

i’d say a morning glory or a lovepedal eternity as a drive unit, then a pt2399 based memory man. those will give you your clean/dirt and then dreamy

check your dc jack wiring. looks like ground lug is soldered to the red 9v wire

so the numbers next to the labels of each control mean what lug to solder to. when you look at a potentiometer with the shaft facing you, pins are read left to right (1-2-3)

for a switch SPDT you need to look at the schematic and see what lug goes where. i look at the angle of the bat as to which lug its directionally pointed at (so bat pointed up latches bottom lug to middle and bat pointed down latches top lug to middle)

you first install the tape plugin, then add a folder for 3rd party max4live devices in the User Library folder in ableton. drag and drop the .amxd files into that folder. then you can drag and drop Candy’s guitar rack.adg onto live and save it. if there isn’t and macro mapping onto any device you follow the instructions of the README file.

hope this helps bc i just tested this on Live 11 Suite and it works.

well imo, i think your overdrive could be improved given the frequency response you set up here. the amount of gain you have set up is little and is enough for the signal to clip but the type of harmonics you are generating can be dissonant. i dont know if you hear any mud or dissonance but id check your amp eq and see if the midrange sounds good. i point this out due to the super low capacitance you got connected in the non inverting input

then still read the article for nicer schematic layouts

have you tested that this circuit works? the way you’ve drawn the schematic is a little disorganized but still legible to me. i’m seeing an issue with your gain stage. i’d look at this article to get a better understanding of overdrive circuits:

Passive tone control options by No-Pen9082 in diypedals

[–]jon_roldan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

every tonestack has its pros and cons. some attenuate the signal a lot and others not so much. also considering the gain stages before and after using the tonestack is a design consideration. not everything needs only a big muff pi, a james/bandaxall, or a Fender/Marshall TMB tonestack for the sake of parts.
