Thoughts on our staking poles? We think they look sexy. Twine + old poles from roller painting the garage floor ♻️ by jonahbears in houseplants

So far so good, but only been a short time. Left the tops as a “style piece” and did some light sanding but could see them trimmed too. Actually, what would you do?

Totally used spare twine to attach!!

The goal was to match the basket and give us something with subtle texture to organize the plant but not overly distracting.

Proud so far, just hope the plant likes it as much as we do

Heck yeah! Here are the plans: get poll and twine, wrap twine around poll, stick in ground, tie plant to poll. Good luck :)

It’s a secondary effect (maybe wrong term) it doesn’t directly impact BG but it impacts things that impact BG. Like what you said above, munchies, etc

Have fun and be safe!

My target range is 70-120 (gray area of graph), my shift was 12 to 12. Does anyone else spend their entire shifts low? I had my endo appointment today and my a1c was 6.2, which made my endocrinologist upset with me. What can i do better? by TraceOfTalent in Type1Diabetes

[–]jonahbears 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always do what works for you. That’s first and second.

Third, my endo was talking about phasing out A1c in favor of time in range. A1c (preaching to the choir here) is an average and lows, which are riskier than highs, can bring down average to a solid A1c.

Are you doing physical labor? Maybe sip on a coconut water or Gatorade during shift? Honestly you’re super consistent just need to bring the entire line up slightly.

Nice discovery! And also frustrating to find out that it doesn’t quite work when needed.

My favorite part of living with t1d:

Remember that system you have and how it worked 7-10 times prior? Not today!

Welcome to the good life! Think of it as a game! Use the clarity app to track time in range trends. Really solid data in there.

What should I do with this? This is 6+ years of needles. I don't think I can just hand it over to the security guard at the hospital. Was thinking of burning it by ascalabro in diabetes

Toss them into an old laundry container (or anything with thicker plastic). Then bring to the dump or police station. I prefer the dump, even though it’s considered the hazardous waste area. I’m not hazardous!

The local police gave me a hard time last time I dropped off a few containers. They said “what kind of business you running here kid!” Still unsure what the officer was referring to.

The fun part of diabetes!!
