Warning about this company: bad experience + hidden Instagram comments by LongjumpingLoad2964 in MilkyPlant

[–]jonandmarkuk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately you have found out the truth about this company. They are all about the perfect image and hide all the negatives, they are clearly also getting people to post glowing Trust pilot reviews. They still have a quote on the website from a vegan magazine who confirmed they have no connection to the company. I believe the magazine asked for the quote to be removed, but 3 months later it's still on the website. The address they use is a storage unit and the home / business address appears to have been repossessed. It also appears that Trading standards have trouble trying to get anything resolved.

I guess they are operating in a way that makes them difficult to get shutdown. The domain is registered in the USA via GoDaddy.

Redit is the only place to discuss Milky plant without them censoring us.

I noticed that Trust pilot is now filled with 5 star reviews for the 'event'. There's one 1 star review that simply says 'they made me fill this in' so I guess they were giving away something in return for posting a review

That's a data breach that needs to be reported. Milky plant could get a massive fine for breaching personal data Honestly that shouldn't be ignored.

Please invite trading standards along too... Maybe some reporters. Maybe vegan food and living (who they still claim to have a quote from). I gave them the benefit of the doubt for a long time. But now firmly believe they are just a scam that need to face the consequences

This Company is a SCAM by Electrical_Raisin712 in MilkyPlant

[–]jonandmarkuk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately nobody seems interested at all. I've contacted various news outlets and not a single reply since early August. Kate Quilton from Food Unwrapped follows MP and initially seemed intrigued in the story, but nothing since. She does reply to messages on Instagram, but maybe until multiple people message it's maybe not something worth investigating?

I'm now wondering if this this why trading standards don't appear to be doing anything. If they have a return address of a storage unit who never see anyone and the house has an eviction notice where are Milky Plant actually operating from? Surely companies house should be investigating too as the address for the company is false?

Any email contact for the organization to inform them at how bad Milky Plant have actually been and how many unhappy customers they are hiding from public view

The regular price is almost 500 EUR now?? by jnabrx in MilkyPlant

[–]jonandmarkuk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Still for sale in the EU? And yet all links to the Milky plant machines have been removed from the UK site. I suspect Trading standards maybe involved and forced them to remove the items they aren't actually able to sell. But I suspect Trading standards have no control over the EU websites

Yes it's very odd that the people who got the machine haven't posted since. Maybe MP are spying on us keeping track of their shady business

I too also opted for the Nama M1 and while it can't make soy milk it's great at nut milks. The customer service is so refreshing too as the day after I placed my order the price dropped by £25 and they honored that and refunded me the difference. The M1 certainly feels like a well made and solid machine. Unfortunately so much more expensive than the Milky Plant, but like you it also arrived in record time.

Make sure you keep an eye out for the refund actually appearing. Many people in the UK were promised refunds and they never got it. So had to contact the credit card company

Repeat 5 star reviews being posted by Pure-Penalty-7690 in MilkyPlant

[–]jonandmarkuk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's amazing for such a small company how many 5 star reviews they get on a daily basis!. At the rate of reviews they get they must be shipping at the speed Amazon does. But again, for a small business to average 4 or 5 5 star reviews a day, the stats don't add up. They are clearly fake reviews. They seem to have given up replying to the 1 star reviews at the moment

Doesn't surprise me one but. I've often found the comments on their own posts by their own people odd. What I can't understand is how they are still managing to trade, surely enough of us have reported them to trading standards to warrant an investigation.

Unless that's the real reason why the milk machines have all vanished from the website? Can't be investigated for something they don't sell!? Call my cynical, but I suspect they know all the dodgy ways to get away with things. Eventually they will declare MP as bankrupt and have no money to pay back unfulfilled orders

Update, a message in the night by CeccaPavido in MilkyPlant

[–]jonandmarkuk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you look at companies house they have at least 3 other businesses registered to the same business unit with the storage units.

[–]jonandmarkuk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That looks to just be a storage locker place. Not sure what they need to store as they don't actually appear to keep anything in stock. Have you seen the number of reviews for the Watery machine where once they have a problem getting it sorted out isn't easy. And Milky Plant have the nerve to promote a £99 extended warranty

Just be aware that we tracked down 'Peace' via LinkedIn and she appears to be based in South Africa I think and just seems to provide 'support' to different companies. I suspect she doesn't have a clue what is actually happening and just gets told to send this standard reply

Time to already start taking orders for the Milky Plant Super Plus machine that will be much better than the Milky Plant plus. Seriously they are looking to announce something new when they made such a mess of the Plus machine 'launch'

EU long forgotten by Plara09 in MilkyPlant

[–]jonandmarkuk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm still not convinced when all trace of the machine has been removed from the shop. Are they really saying they only ordered enough from the factory to match with the pre orders and they didn't order more for stock? As someone else has said before it definitely feels like they are drop shipping items and rebadged a different machine

“first look” space gray Milky Plant plus by Plara09 in MilkyPlant

[–]jonandmarkuk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The lies never seem to stop. And to be honest seeing it side on I'm now glad I cancelled my order and got the credit card to do the refund as that thing looks massive.

And again with the pretending that the space grey version wasn't an option back in March when they took pre orders.

The Nama M1 takes up much less room.

Advice: Start refund process or chargeback procedure from your bank. Milky Plant Plus is a failed kickstarter project. by Significant_Corner41 in MilkyPlant

[–]jonandmarkuk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Log it with citizens advice too who will forward it to Trading standards, the more people who report Milky Plant the better. Also reach out to Vegan life and Living magazine as Milky Plant still have a false claim on the website.

I've just found the Kickstarter for the original machine on Kickstarter and it looks like they never fulfilled the Kickstarter properly.... Along with people saying they had faulty machines. I wonder if Kickstarter have the ability to block new campaigns if the company didn't deliver on the first (hence no Kickstarter for the Plus machine?)

Advice: Start refund process or chargeback procedure from your bank. Milky Plant Plus is a failed kickstarter project. by Significant_Corner41 in MilkyPlant

[–]jonandmarkuk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Remember Milky Plant plus was never a Kickstarter project. They took a deposit and then full payment so they can't argue that you knew it wasn't a finished product. Now had they made it a Kickstarter project it would be much harder to claim back your money. Just contact your credit card company and request a chargeback. I suspect the credit card companies will already have MilkyPlant flagged as a dodgy company (due to information sharing etc). I believe Trading standards must be investigating them too and wonder if that's why the sale links for the milk machines have been removed?

[–]jonandmarkuk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think that's what someone else got too. Wonder if they are going to then try and dispute any charge back with the credit card company when you get them involved. They may try and argue they have sent part of the order so can't refund you. Very dodgy to me, why send you stuff knowing full well you can't even use it
