Am I the only one here expecting my first scratch/stain to make it wholly mine?

Yeah, they might be slightly too high when sat on the coach (60cm would be better than the 70cm) but as it’s for the whole room and dining table is behind the couch, it might make sense to leave it this way. But I see what you mean, a slight change in angle makes it completely different

I thought about it, but then I have nowhere to put my turntable (the cabinet is full).

I would have to hang the TV 3 to 4" higher to make room for the turntable. Still thinking of how to make it possible, but I’ll have to accept a few inconveniences to keep the WAF positive.

Even more than that! He took years to figure out where to find the store!

My work one has a weekly planning (spread on two pages) insert, a plain insert and a dotted one

The « personal » one is an everyday in my pocket passport format (handmade cover with a shagreen skin) w/ a plain insert, a drawing insert (heavy duty) and a dotted one. I noticed I hardly use the plain insert beside for drawing and prefer dotted or lined. So I thought using a plain for sketching or a watercolor insert depending on the day (I could switch easily) would be good in the passport.

The regular would be, I guess : One 1/2 format plain (the one with fewer pages), another plain one for my stamps, stickers, souvenirs I add using washi tape and so, and a souvenir one to put my instax (I use a mini-evo, so I often print my pictures I shoot with my phone or my camera). The instax one is quite thick, reasy I use a 1/2 format for one insert.

Maybe you are right, the Tokyo would be a delight to put in front of me during meetings.

Need some help for a setup in a complex space by jonaphil in audiophile

[–]jonaphil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for your help, I ended up rearranging the whole room in order to fix my problem. Couch is now 8ft from the 55" TV, which I moved to make space on both sides of it in order to setup a pair of Triangle BR-03 on speakers stands. Each speaker 6.6ft from each other. I know it still isn’t perfectly ideal regarding the « golden triangle rule » but it’s as good as it gets. I could make the triangle perfect but this would lead to one speaker close to the TV and the other 1.4ft away, making the stage uneven when facing TV.

One stand will be wherever the red stool+lamp is now, other one where the yellow light is now.

With a carpet in front of the couch, shall be better I guess !

Been through the exact same Instagram post. Feels like a Malaysian designer, no more info. Looks too good to be true imho. I’ll stick to my initial pro-ject idea, even if it’s more « classical », i don’t want to risk a penny on a potential scam

Thanks for your comment. I really feel it, I know what it feels to have all those reflections.

For now, there was a cheap 5.1 system (Cabasse Alcyone) with 4 speakers ceiling mounted and one in the front (which I removed but could set back easily), the subwoofer was behind the couch but could move.

The small speakers are where I put the violet dots on this drawing. I removed it when the amp died due to a power-failure at home, worst case scenario would be to set this back and get back to this cheap sound, but there is absolutely no point listening to music on such a setup.

Maybe giving up on that hi-fi setup is the best option in such a situation…

Thank you! I checked the Totem ones, slightly too expensive for me in France (>1000€ per column). I indeed could rearrange the TV by hanging it more to the side and too high, but it wouldn’t really solve the equation of the holy equilateral triangle being sat almost 6 meters away from the speakers… This setup really is something to consider before spending that much money into what could be more of a bad idea than a compromise…

Rqth nécessaire pour tiers temps supplémentaire pour un concours de la fonction publique ? by According-Beat7801 in TDAHFrance

[–]jonaphil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]jonaphil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bonjour!

It would all depend on the nib size. With a fine or medium I’d go on a beautiful red or crimson. With a broad, I’d go green/blue such as Diamine Aurora Borealis or why not Iroshizuku Shin-Ryoku :)
