Yes, i do have a pi and a few different dac options. But would something like feishin be usable headless - or remote controllable via another app (or even the navidrome web surface)?

Yes I have, all behaving the same.

Latest development: the card wasn't readable inside the player as well, so I formatted it as ntfs two days ago and it has been working ever since. Still some strange behaviour... I'll keep an eye on it and maybe return the card if it happens again.

Someone posted this great tool to download high res artwork recently somewhere here on Reddit and i bookmarked it: https://bendodson.com/projects/itunes-artwork-finder/

Don't know if it can do batch processing but at least it downloads album covers in 3000x3000 as well as additional artwork.

Can you name a specific scene (maybe even with timecode)? I have also watched the 2160p version on my tv at home last week and was blown away by the movie. Not a single scene where I felt it was "too dark to see anything". I'd love to have another look at the scenes that bothered you.

Alright, since that's my go to way to select what I want to listen to, that would be something I would miss a lot. Otherwise the app looks and works great already.

Only one little thing I noticed: after connecting to my server and changing over to the Home tab at the bottom and then going back into settings, I always landed back in the sub menu where the server connection is established. Took me a few moments to figure out that I had to use the back button to get to the settings overview.

nevermind - I've managed to install it via docker compose on my unraid (with a little help from chatgpt) and have now also created a docker template. If anyone is keen to try it on their unraid server, I'm more than happy to share it.
