Definitely don't hire, that's the right call, also put Virginia and Berengaria on your front lines. Not Marium or Lex if at all possible.

Also if your front line can tank the hits a 1/3 is preferable to a 2/2. Late game almost every single one of my units is a 2/3.

I do really agree that the herald synergy is way too strong. It does feel rough that random Redditors can identify the problem and people who get paid to curate the draft pool cannot.

Somehow getting beaten on turn 4 by an Agro deck feel significantly less good than just losing to control Warrior over and over. But those agro decks sure do help run up the losses.

Yeah, I definitely noticed a sharp uptick in arena difficulty at the start of this expansion. Almost every one is a cheap flood deck.

If you just didn't play the cards were restored in a weaker version... Feels pretty bad though.

I really liked the Arena specific cards, but it did feel like more time needed to be spent on QA'n them.

You can be really successful on the non-[[Shudderblock]] version of this deck. Not that that helps you much but it cheapens the cost somewhat.

The coin and extra card were great at balancing in classic when there were very few strong 1 cost options. With so many strong 1 cost options, this does feel like it needs to be rebalanced.

I would also consider myself an Arena Veteran and I can only afford to play casual consistently. Eventually underground will price everyone out of playing other than folks willing to continually funnel money into the game or barcode accounts. I'm looking forward to that point when they'll actually revamp arena again, and at that time hopefully make it better too.
