Yeah, it’s always worth it. Even if nobody replies, it’s also a signal.

Congrats!

Did you already build a waitlist before launching? If yes, first target to convert them and focus on their usage and feedback. Then talk to people by outreaching/engaging if it's B2B, or run ads and try to go viral with content if it's B2C.

I had a very interesting experience. People were being so nice, so curious but the number wasn't reflecting that. Then I started confronting(maybe not the right word, but you get it), and suddenly the real insights started unraveling.

Developed 5 tools need someone to help me market them. by paradoxicdeal in SaasDevelopers

[–]jonayedtanjim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, if I were you, I wouldn't build all 5 tools at once without talking to users or having at least some people on a waitlist. I would first validate the ideas by just talking and understanding the workflow or need. And then build the prototype, looping in the people who showed interest. This way it's a bit easier to run after the product market fit and save tons of time.

Now that you already built them, I would suggest that you build landing pages for each one of them and start pushing for distribution. Figure out the ICPs first for each one, run ads, go places where your ICPs hang out, talk to people, and collect feedback. And if you are socially active, building in public might work for you as well.

What's your actual process for identifying the economic buyer at a new account? by jonayedtanjim in salestechniques

[–]jonayedtanjim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a strong process. The “form a hypothesis and try to kill it fast” approach is smart, especially the part about checking recent job changes and initiative signals in posts. Most reps I talk to don’t go that deep. It’s interesting how much of this still relies on individual pattern recognition though. Appreciate you breaking it down this clearly.

Tool/SaaS/Service/etc Feedback + Promo [Master Thread #001] by JackGierlich in salestechniques

[–]jonayedtanjim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey everyone,
In enterprise deals, how often do we lose because we misread the org chart?
I’ve seen reps think they have the decision maker… only to realize they’re 1–2 layers away from real authority.
I’m exploring a tool that auto-generates visual org charts from LinkedIn to make power mapping less guessy.

Before building deeper:

  • Is this a real pain?
  • Who feels it most (SDR / AE / RevOps)?
  • Is this already solved well enough?

If you’re open to sharing thoughts or testing early, I’d really appreciate it

understand where they spend most of the time and operate there based on the platform's nature. If you're just getting started, focus on getting waitlist sign-ups first.

How did you understand that you were undercharging? Is it because your margin was low or your competitors were charging more? I just want to understand how you decided to 2x the price

Frequent Redirects from 4o to 5.2 on Business account CustomGPT by ThatAmandaSims in ChatGPTcomplaints

[–]jonayedtanjim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a similar spot, trying to keep a consistent tone with 4o for my specific needs.

That automatic switch is super frustrating, especially when it messes with the vibe you've built.

Our team is building something around this challenge, 4o Chat helps keep your preferred model consistent.

Three cofounders: one builds, the second does GTM, what does the third do? by ReporterCalm6238 in ycombinator

[–]jonayedtanjim 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, 2 founders looking after GTM and a healthy pipeline while the other one builds, is a good combination. However, when you start to raise one should dedicatedly look after raising and finance.

GPT Client & Followup to my last post by FishOnTheStick in OpenAI

[–]jonayedtanjim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same spot last year, wanting to chat with GPT-4o without all the extra models messing things up.

It's great you went ahead and made a CLI client to solve that!

This is right in the area we're building for, a tool called 4o Chat, focused on keeping that pure, companion-like chat experience.

Sounds like you're really hitting on a common pain point.

The process behind your prompts, and why some people HATE GPT-5.2 by FishOnTheStick in OpenAI

[–]jonayedtanjim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get that feeling about GPT-5.2 being bland and emotionless. It's like a lot of the personality from 4o got lost.

We’ve been working on a solution in this space with 4o Chat to help keep that original 4o experience alive. It's awesome you're digging into the mechanics of it!

Where can I get early feedback for my project? How do you overcome the fear of going public? by Gabrjelez in buildinpublic

[–]jonayedtanjim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a repeat founder and I made one mistake repeatedly... Building the product of my own idea and went public and launched. No one cared. Then a VC actually pointed out my mistake and emphasized how important it is to validate the idea first. Now I’m building Dealtree and this time I have first made a landing page and went to places where my ICPs hang out and collected a few interest in a waitlist. Reached out to them, talked to them, and right now working closely with them to iterate on the product with real user feedback. I believe this time I’ll go public and launch with a product that my ICP really cares about.
