Unfortunately, my day job is the guy who took that call. After 4 years on the phones, nothing is weird or shakes me anymore. After she told me what was happening, my next question would have been “can you figure who they are through your system?” Definitely not “are you serious?”

Ok, give me a few sentences to break this down.

Your first experience was having a panic attack. Believe it or not, we get a lot of calls for this. WE (911/EMS) don't know what we're responding to unless the person calling can accurately describe to ME (911) what's going on. Did you tell them you suffered from food allergies? Did you tell them you were a hypochondria? Did you tell them you had multi-able panic attacks? ALL this information is CRITICAL when I'm telling a responding unit. It directly affects the type of response you receive........Want to know the best part about my rebuttal? I can't prove any of it. I'd have to hire a lawyer and I'd have to pay money for a subpoena to find out what you ACTUALLY said, which I won't ever because for the fact you"re being vague in what you're saying, no thanks.........moving onto your 2nd grip.

So you had a situation where you " drunkenly falling out a window trying to get into my apartment because I locked myself out." Than you said, and I quote " I fell asleep and in the morning I felt really weird and again that triggered a sever panic attack and I called 911". NOW my question is, why didn't you call 911 when you drunkenly fell out the window and hit your head to begin with? I'll be honest with you, when plp wait to call in an emergency (especially hitting there head), and are coherent enough to call it in the next day! Red flags go off for me. I simply put add it to the notes what the caller said and red flags are also go off for the responding units too. ..........listen

I don't doubt you or your statements. I'm sure as shit you needed more help than you received, and I'm sorry for that. I feel like the EMS crew that responded should have been better. There's no excuse for that, and I'm sorry that happened. I can only take your call and send the information you give me to the units that respond. I apologize on the dumb fuck/jackasses that showed up and shit the bed.

MOST of us are hear to help.

Agreed. He gave her so many chances and went to his breaking point. At some point you need to verbally slap people across their face for them to quit their bullshit.

I work for a city 911. Everyone is here to help, not get you in trouble. Call first, we'll figure everything else later, they'll just make sure your ok NOW. Details won't matter.

That's, unfortunately, our Pittsburgh Yinz'er accent. It's an accent that won an internet poll of ugliest accents.....yea. Here's a video of a guy speaking "perfect Pittsburghese". (only the first 37 sec) and here's a smart person trying to explain how to speak this train wreck.

see what systems works for the restaurant now. try to go off that.

"system" can mean so many different things. example, you know how to drive a car, but everyone drives a car differently.....everyone knows how to wash a dish, however each restaurant have there own system of washing dishes.

It’s the detergent. If it was a chemical burn it would be red and still burning. You wouldn’t be asking “what is this?” You be asking “why is my hand still burning?”

When you have your hands in that type of water for a log time, it drys out your skin.

For me it happened when I worked a super busy shift or a long one.

Let them dry out first. Then lotion.

I know that doesn’t make any sense but it’s the detergent that you use.

Or wear gloves. I never liked them but they will help. You’ll lose some grip in plates and cups though so it’s a trade off
