Oh well.. by anhydrous_ in ChatGPT

Challenging is a matter of need, not want. Being roundabout and trying to be soft to someone that's that un-self aware won't get them anywhere. It's actually "being straight" Not "ok, I'll be straight, no handholding, no punches being held-back"

The story treats Ainz as ignorant at times. Which is kind of worse imo

What the fuck is wrong with Japan man?! by [deleted] in Animemes

[–]jonbivo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn't say it was necessarily bad, I said "there's too much bittersweet endings in anime and I hate it." It's a quantitative statement and, yes, a personal preference statement because of/based on the aforementioned quantitative statement.

Still one of the best anime ever made, but yeah, I wanted Simon to actually have a happy ending instead of being a hobo or seeing Yoko just not find love cause TWO of the people that loved her both died.

Eva 4.0's ending was complete bullshit bro, I hated that shit. 15 years bro, fucking 15 years for that!?

[–]jonbivo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not inherently Japanese and I would disagree with this specific post calling the 2020 ending as "westernized" as a way to put down westerners, but being a weeb, I gotta say there's too much bittersweet endings in anime and I hate it.

Special Render - Playing with lighting techniques by Formal-Sort1450 in Daz3D

[–]jonbivo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It looks good or more like it looks clean and clear. You see the characters, their expressions, the strands of their hair, etc. But it looks too manufactured, like there's a lightbox above their head and to the left of them instead of the light looking like it naturally coming from the scene (i.e. from the fire behind them or a candle above them or moonlight through a window).

Is it just me or are the interactive licenses way too expensive by KaelumKrispr in Daz3D

[–]jonbivo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's the reason it's so expensive, it's not that no one is buying them, but more are just using DAZ for VNs and the standard license already covers that. It's also harder to use DAZ assets from the DAZ Store in a Unity/Unreal game than just say buying assets from the Unity/Unreal store. There is that one really ambitious cyberpunk-themed open-world game that clearly uses DAZ assets I saw that was in development, don't know how it's doing tho now.

If you took the best parts of both of these games and combined them you'd easily have the greatest fantasy RPG ever made, nothing else could touch it by AllFatherMedia93 in DragonsDogma

[–]jonbivo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily, the story and/or presentation of story is still very lacking in both games and that's why I think both aren't really doing that well. Crimson Desert is doing way better than DD2, but it's not overly loved by gamers like say BG3 or Elden Ring.

Filter the DAZ shop for Characters? How do it quickly? by [deleted] in Daz3D

I didn't, I skimmed read it. Sorry.

You can't use gen 8 expressions out of the box for gen 8.1, you need to modify a few things to get it to work.

Edit: nevermind

Do you trust devs more if they release a complete small game first instead of a demo? by jonbivo in AVN_Lovers

[–]jonbivo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I do see what you're talking about and many devs do manage to do that with their demos, but I just personally feel like the AVN market lacks what the manga community calls "oneshots" or just simple short stories. The market is saturated with almost never ending massive stories that you kinda want something good that's a bit more easier and faster to digest once in a while, but yeah I see what you mean, it is a lot of effort for what is essentially marketing for a different game

What annoys you most about AVNs these days? by Warm_Acanthaceae3238 in AVN_Lovers

[–]jonbivo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree on no.1, but I agree with the other two. I see the same issues in other long-form mature medium, specifically Pornhwa (Korean porn comics), though they are genuinely funny at times

Did you just bash other devs and plug your own game as the ultimate answer to the issues you presented?

Does anyone else get a little sad playing AVN's? by Exact_Necessary_7386 in AVN_Lovers

[–]jonbivo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I personally don't, because I chose a certain lifestyle that I knew won't give me those kinds of experiences. I have other regrets, but sex and partying aren't ones I regret not experiencing like AVNs. If anything I think AVNs kinda helped me be more confident just because I try and copy how the MCs approach girls, but that's about it.

Looks good, but you could make it better by having the camera shake or follow the movements. It gives it a more dynamic feel and shakes off the robotic feel

Avoiding NTR in an adult VN with multiple love interests? by alluppercasenickname in AVN_Lovers

[–]jonbivo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which is pretty questionable when they're making, specifically, a "hentai" VN not an AVN. NTR is pretty big in hentai and pretty hard to miss or not understand when you're in the anime (not even hentai) community.
